Which itinerary for first cruise?

I adjusted the price because I did my math wrong originally. I actually love Disney but cannot justify the cost for a family of 5 to do Disney World and Cruise. We frequent Disneyland as it’s closer but opting to try a cruise this time.

Well, I hear you on that! But this is a good problem to have, whether to go on a 4 day cruise or a 5 day. Not knowing the ages of your kids, I do think if this is a first time cruise 5 days is the way to go. it will take you a day or two just to sort the lay of the ship out and get into the routine, you can only research so much. To really relax is going to come later in the cruise. You will get a lot of opinions here, some of them will be quite black and white, but I always found my experiences were always personal to me and didn't always match someone else's preferences.

I would definitely trade for the 5 night. I've been to Cozumel 2x, so I would probably choose the other. But we have nothing against Cozumel and really enjoyed our beach day at Nachi Cocom there. So whichever seems more appealing to you.

I would go for the 5 nights, but which one is debatable, as I have not been to Look Out Cay yet. Usually CC is the only port I care about so I'd probably choose the lower priced option. But, if I feel the new islands measures up, then doing both islands would be worth the extra cost to me. Either way I would say you can't go wrong.

Your original 4-night cruise will give you both private beach islands and a day onboard the ship. For a first cruise, that would be enough to give you the flavor of a Disney cruise. You will be able to visit all 3 restaurants, see all 3 main shows, and experience Pirate Night.

Whether you should spend more money for 1 more day depends on what you want to get out of the cruise.

If beaches are what you want, giving up Lookout Point for Cozumel doesn’t make sense because you would be paying extra for the cruise and then even more to go to a beach in Cozumel.

If, however, you want to see other countries/areas/sites, such as Mayan ruins, then the extra cost for Cozumel might be worthwhile.

Similarly, if you want to see Nassau, it might be worth the added cost, but if you just intend to stay on the ship, it may not be worth that much money for an extra day.
