Which Italian restaurant?

Which would you say is better? Tutto Italia or Mamma Melrose's?

I'll say that Mama's is MUCH less expensive, and about the same quality.

as far as MM being less expensive but we found we liked the food at Tutto Italia much more. We dined at MM in 2007 so it might be better now as we have not returned since but have dined at Tutto Italia both in 2008 and 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed our meals both times.

If money is not an issue, then def go to Tutto. If you are looking for bang for your buck, Mamas is defiantly the way to go. Both are good though, can't go wrong in my opinion.

We will be on the free dining plan, so money it's not an issue.

You might also consider which park fits into your plans best, since MM is in DHS and Tutto is in EPCOT. I've not been to Tutto, but will assume previous posters are correct in that the food is similar. Quality being the same to you, as is the price (since you're on the dining plan), I'd go with which one is the best location for your park plans.

We did Mama Melrose's last week and we thought it was fantastic. I read the reviews and some were iffy, but honestly, the people who gave it a bad review must have just had bad luck with the way their meal was prepared on their particular day eating there. We ordered two different meals and both were excellent. Even DD4 liked the spaghetti and she doesn't really eat any other spaghetti other than Olive Garden's. We will definetly be making future ADR's at Mama Melrose's. The price was great, the food had that "home cooked" feel to it, the atmosphere was nice and their coffee was oh so perfect on a wet soggy day like we had last week.

Tutto is sooo much better than MM

DW and I haven't been to either one yet, but for our upcoming trip wanted to try one. We decided on MM. The items on the menu sounded more appetizing to us.

We ate at Italy at the old restaurant a few years ago and didn't like it. It was very noisy, very crowded and crammed, and the food tasted like canned Chef Boyardee. So we were hesistant to visit Italy again for those reasons.

I really enjoyed Mama Melrose when I dined there last week. I remember visiting Tutto years ago, and none of our party enjoyed the food, so I haven't been back since. So, I can't speak for Tutto as of recently, but MM was very good.

Also, if you enjoy sangria, their's was very tasty.

We dined at Tutto in May and we LOVED it, it is on our plan for next trip!

I would go with Tutto then, it is wonderful. In fact over my last 7 or 8 trips over the past 5 years, I had my best meal of all there.

yea, I don't think it was Tutto that you visited. Isn't Tutto pretty recent?

I haven't tried Tutto yet, we have a ressie for it in August.

MM is the ONLY restaurant in 23 years of going to WDW that we had a bad meal at and I'm talking inedible. I would normally try a restaurant again giving it another chance but I have read so many bad reviews for so many years on this one that I'm not willing to take a chance.

On the other hand, I've read a ton of good reviews on Tutto so.....

but whatever you decide, bon appetite!

Tutto hands down. You can't even compare the quality of food and authenticity of being Italian. I could be biased coming from an Italian NJ family but Mamma's is sub-par Macaroni Grill/Olive Garden. Tutto I would consider more upscale. there is definitely a price difference but well worth it. We're going to probably eat at Tutto twice if we can get ADR's. Mammas? We only had one dish we enjoyed while there.
