Which is the worst hairstyle you ever had?

I have a short, precision cut with lots of texture and I've worn it this way for years and it requires a fair bit of upkeep. I'd have to say the worst in memory was this summer when I was 4 months overdue for a haircut by the time the salons were allowed to re-open in July.

My mom used to cut my hair. Not quite a bowl cut, but not a precision cut like a real hairstylist could do. Occasionally they'd spring for a real haircut from a professional.

And it was horrible. She used to use one of these things that held three razor blades. And the hair was more or less chopped where it would yank on the roots. It hurt like heck but she only knew how to use of of these things.

Back when Bo Derek did braids for that movie (10?), it was a brief rage for white girls to get them done. I, unfortunately had them for my grad photos. They looked terrible on me. My hair is straight and thin, so the braids sat so close to my head I really looked bald.

It wasn't even my idea to get them done. That was my naive mom's doing. (The woman who made her 7 year old daughter wear a necklace with a giant peace symbol on it to school during the Vietnam war and couldn't figure out why I was sent home to take it off).

I did a small side cut a couple years ago. Only from my ear forward, not the whole side of my head. I loved it when it was freshly shaved, but growing it out was horrible. Imagine long hair, like down my back long, and the one side patch that was ear length :rotfl2:

I worshiped Bono in the 80s. He had a mullet. So I did, too. I thought I was so cool. I pretty much escaped the big hair 80s look, but when my sister got married in 1990 she had all of her bridesmaids get spiral perms to go with the headbands we wore as the finishing touch of our ensembles. We came down the aisle looking like French poodles wearing teal satin dresses.

I have a couple. One was a horrible, way too tight perm when I was about 12. I went home and cried and cried. Then I washed it several times and brushed it. The result was a ratty looking perm and even worse than it started out. The other was my HUGE late 80's/early 90's hair. It was permed and highlighted. Height on top, so that I hit the ceiling in my car.

Being bald from chemo!!! I HATED it!!!

Don't feel sorry for me though as I am healthy now and my hair grew back better than ever!!! I am 53 and still dont have a single gray hair and my hair is thick and slight wavy!!!
