I have a 2:20pm lunch at LeCellier and a 7:00pm dinner at 1900 parke fare..both on Saturday

it is just us 2 adults celebrating our 40th....not eaten at either place.

Food wise is 1900 worth doing? Tried to pick the most $$$$ for the free dining...hah

just don't want to be disappointed...

thanks BArb

I'll be your husband for the LeCellier lunch date :lmao:

That place is harder to get a reservation than the White House

Next month for our anniv. we are doing

Kona Breakfast
Citricos dinner

and its my b day too and we are doing Park Faire for breakfast since Mary Poppins is my favorite character. We are doing a Le Cellier lunch too.

I guess if the characters at dinner make you happy, then enjoy!! I am sure there wil be lots of kids there too.

Happy Anniversary!

Me personally, I'd go with Chefs de France for lunch. The food is MUCH better and it's more intimate. I would choose any other resort for a TS. 1900 Park Fare is best for breakfast IMHO. We LOVED Artist Point for a celebration dinner. We had AMAZING service and one of THE best meals we've ever had at Disney. Good luck!:thumbsup2

out of the two I would much rather do LeCellier over 1900PF. The food at Dinner there was inedible when we went in 2009. LeCellier was pretty dang good food wise, not the best IMO but a good meal as far as 1TS goes. I'd go with LeCellier ;) OR Akershus if you want to see the princesses and get your $$ worth !

Personally I wouldn't go with LeCellier...even for lunch.

Yes the food is (or was) good before the new "signature" rating. I loved their prime rib and my husband loved the coffee steak.
However those are off the menu.

That said, we have celebrated twice at LeCellier and was never treated special, basically the server said "happy anniversary and the other time congrats" (was our honeymoon).
Other restaurants that we celebrated at decorated the table, gave us a free dessert or a glass of champagne. But nothing from LeCellier.

So with the combination that they don't "celebrate" with you and the menu change....I would go somewhere else.

If looking to stay in Epcot I would head to San Angel Inn. That place is very romantic. Check out the menu though, it isn't tex mex style, more traditional. But if the menu appeals to you, that is the place to celebrate an anniversary!!

Foodwise 1900 PF was being nasty....none of us (2 adults and 2 kids) were happy and the service was pitiful. The character interaction was awesome though

If you are asking one or the other ...

I would choose LeCellier. The menu might have changed, but for the most part, the food is pretty good. The atmosphere is more like to appeal to a special meal than 1900 PF. Have had several lunches and dinners here over the years. Once the steak wasn't up to par, but mostly have enjoyed. Really enjoyed the steak salad. And the maple creme brulee is very yummy. Service has never been over the top wonderful, but sufficient.

As previously mentioned, Chefs de France would also be a good selection for a 1 credit lunch or dinner.

Went to 1900 PF for dinner once, but won't be back. The characters were fun, and was glad we went for my DD, but the food really wasn't that good. And the atmosphere would not be one I would want to celebrate my anniversary.

If you are interested in eating at the Grand Floridian, I would suggest a dinner at Grand Floridian Cafe as a 1 credit dinner. Much better atmosphere for celebrating.

Congrats on the 40 years! Enjoy your time at Disney.

I like both- but for an anniversary meal, I would probably do Le Cellier for a more romantic atmosphere.
Also, although I enjoy the character buffets, you may want to have a meal that isn't interrupted by characters and trips to fill your plate :)

Wow the food must be pretty bad at 1900..gonna cancel that for sure. Not really interested in characters.

We have celebrated my B'day and our anniversary at Disney several times, including every big one since we share the same anniversary as Disney Oct 1971...ours is the 8th and my bday is the 6th...
We even did our 25th and they made the castle look like a birthday cake for me..hah I think I'm in a minority saying I loved the castle all pink and pretty...

I think we will stick with Lecellier for lunch, can't see using it for 2 credits for dinner tho.

thanks
