I don't know about buffets because I really don't like them but do NOT eat at the Captain Kidd's buffet on Harbor. Don't eat anything there actually. Gross gross gross!!!!!

There are lots of places to eat off site, there is a Millie's, Mimi's, Denny's, IHOP ($$$$$) and McDonald's right across the street on Harbor and if you don't mind a short walk go to the Anaheim Garden Walk. There are a lot of really good restaurants there, Bubba Gump, CA Pizza Kitchen, Cheesecake Factory....

And Baloo is usually at Goofy's too, wiggling his ample mid-section to the Macarena! Lately at Goofy's there has also been Alice and sometimes the Mad Hatter, as well as Belle.

Storytellers sometimes has Rafiki from Lion King and Meeko from Pocahontas. All the woodsy and jungly Disney characters!

We spent some quality time with Mary Poppins last time we were at GK.

I don't think I have ever interacted with Mary Poppins at DLR - either at character meals or in the parks - in my entire Disneyland-visiting life!! I think I have only seen her walk by one time. I know she is there, because I have seen people's pictures of her on DISboards, but I have never 'met' her myself! I like that Goofy's has 'guest stars' beyond the regulars, and you never exactly know who the guest stars will be!

Sherry we have spent some amazing time with her in DL!! My kids LOVE MP and meeting her was one of their favorite things!! We saw her on MS by the coke shop, across the street from Plaza Inn. :)

We really liked Lilo and Stitch. Goofy's Kitchen is better for us at dinner time as DH loves their prime rib. Lilo and Stitch had a great amount of interaction. You can choose the buffet or ala cart which was alot cheaper than Storytellers a la cart. They had hula lessons, conga lines and some island game. It was very relaxed and the service was very good. We were at Goofy's on Monday and only saw Chip and Dale, Goofy, Pluto, Minnie (all of whom we had seen over and over last week) Mulan and Jasmine. I wish we had seen Alice and the Mad Hatter

#1 - Storyteller's Cafe definitely has the best food, atmosphere and service. We have always had really great character interaction here too. I like that the characters are more rare, but some people want to see the characters they are more familiar with, so if you want to see popular characters this might not be the breakfast for you.

#2 - PCH Grill is good too, we had very good character interaction, but the food is not quite as plentiful as at Storyteller's Cafe. It is good, and the restaurant was not even close to a quarter full while we were there, so that was nice, we got a lot of time with the characters.

#3 - Goofy's is not our favorite. The characters are the basics, but the place is always very crowded, so they don't have a lot of time to spend at each table. The food is decent, but not great - the selection is pretty good and the cupcakes are delicious even though they don't look like they will be! Service is a bit rushed and servers aren't quite as good probably because they are busier. Goofy's is very loud and crazy, the other two are much more low-key and relaxed.
