I have a trip planned for 2 adults and 1 6-year old for July. I don't have the dining plan. We are on a tight budget. Most of the time we will be eating breakfast in the room and taking sandwiches with us to the parks for lunch or eating lunch by the pool on our non-park days.

I want to have at least one special character breakfast & 1 fun dinner for my 6-year old nephew. Which would be the best character breakfast? Which one has the most character interaction and kid entertainment plus the best food?

Also which would be the most fun dinner for a 6-year old. I was reading about Whispering Canyon. Is that one fun for young kids?

Any suggestions will help. Thank you.

My dd loved whispering canyon. She was 5 when we went last. She also loved Sci Fi diner at MGM. We've done Breakfast and dinner at Crystal Palace with pooh and friends and liked that. find out which characters he really likes.

Whispering Canyon would be my suggestion. My DS (5) loved it, and the food was good too. Just be sure he requests ketchup.

Chef Mickey's would be my choice for breakfast. Lots of characters and very lively. Then you can hop the monorail to MK.

What are his favorite characters? Donalds is a fav of DS's. It tends to be a big hit with boys because of the dinosaur theming
'Ohana dinner is a lot of fun for the kids. They have races, games, etc.

Just came back and the best character breakfast was at Chef Mickey's at the Contempory. It was lot's of fun and the kids LOVED it!!!!

My DS5 loved Donald's Breakfastosaurus. We are going back to WDW in September and this is the only place he has requested.

Dinner: I would agree the antics at Whispering Canyon are fun. My 5yr old DS also love Sci FI. He loved eating in a car and watching those old horror movies. If you go there stick with burgers and shakes. He still talks about the silly old horror movies and asks if next trip we could go there. Its right next to Star Tours so he loved doing Jedi training against Darth Vader, riding Star Tours and then going to Sci Fi.

Breakfast My DS is also a big Donald fan , he likes to imitate him. So Donalds is a big fav and its close to Expedition Everest ao I grabbed Fastpasses before breakfast and when we were done it wastime for EE. We also love Chef Mickeys. The boys love the monorail and think the monorail lives there so during breakfast they have fun guessing the next monorails color. Can't go wrong with either. Go to Donalds on your AK day or Chef Mickeys before MK.

I will be there in July with my DD6. We will do Chef Mickey's and Sci-Fi. She is really excited about Sci-Fi!!! :thumbsup2
