Last year we ate at the GF and at the fireworks it got so crowded and as it was the Pirate and Princess Party and as we had been at it the week before, we just decided to stay inside and watch from a window. This year, I took my Mum and Dad to the beach at the Poly on Father's Day as a surprise to watch Wishes. It was no problem to get somewhere to sit even five minutes before. My tip would be to look for a speaker so you can hear the music being piped in. There is apparently a quiet spot near Luau Cove down the path that leads to the GF. You don't have to eat at the place you want to watch the fireworks from either so if you would prefer to eat at the GF for example, you could still watch the fireworks from the Poly if you wish. Our server at Jiko also recommended the beach at the Contemporary to watch the fireworks from after our meal on the 4th July.
