Hi.

Sorry for all the questions but which is best annual pass to go for,
as we would have to pay for parking for the 4 days, can I get 1 fantasy and the rest in Francilien

After all i'm only trying to save money as OH is not into kids parks he'd prefer to be on a beach for the 6 days Boo Hu,

I'll be ready soon honest!!!

Moved this as I'm sure you'll get lots of answers :)

Regarding parking if you stay at a Disney Hotel you are entitled to free parking :)
With Dream passport (the dearest) you get to park in any of the Disney Hotel car parks (except Disneyland Hotel) and get a better discount on shopping... a whopping 20%.

You do not need to buy everyone the same passport but be aware that the Francilien is not a good passport for those going on holiday as it cannot be used on day 2 and day 3 of your break.

Have a look at the comparison of APs here

BTW ask as many questions as necessary. Hopefully OH will see the light ;)

There is an offer just now of free Annual passes for kids under 7. Not sure when the offer expires but I am sure someone will tell you:thumbsup2

I'd just agree to Cyrano: Francilien won't be useful for you, as you cant enter the park on day 2 and 3 after first visit.

Fantasy is a great deal after all. If you aren't booked on a Disney hotel and still want to park as close as possible for free (Hotel New York), get 1 Dream then (the restaurant discounts count for the whole table anyway!). There are no block-out days in september, too (but maybe the block-out schedule might influence your later traveling plans).

With the kids for free offer (we had it in the other thread BRobson :) your little ones will get the same AP type as that one you paid for, so take care to handle it the smart way so your 6yo will have the Dream AP then. Kid will be happy about the golden thing AND about the gifts to get (Pin lanyard or so).

Thanks Heaps,

So on the fantasy one you can go in on the 2nd and 3rd day then.
Were staying at Eurocamp near Soissons for 6 nights, so will be travelling in each day.

OH is just a penny pincher!!!

I'm more excited than the kids, Been to the one in Florida and that was FAB!!!

Yes the Fantasy passport can be used for subsequent days.

SIL stayed at mobile home at Soissons. It is a very nice site if I remember it correctly. If you have a look at the trip reports you'll see that a few others have also combined a trip staying at a camp site :goodvibes

I assume its Berny Riviere where you are staying. We stayed there at Easter with Eurocamp and also last Easter however we moved to stay onsite at DLP for a few days. It takes about an hour to drive to DLP (although we set off early each time so missed any traffic)
The site itself is lovely- very relaxing. It does coach trips to DLP and to Paris but they will work out a lot more expensive than driving yourself.

We bought dream APs this time as we felt the extra benefits they gave were worth the extra money: We could get in for EMH even though we were staying off site, park at hotels free of charge, got 10% off food and 20% off shopping. Apart from the EMH you would get all this with just one dream AP

If you want to know anything more about Berny Riviere feel free to ask

The biggest advantage we found was the EMH access given by the DREAM pass as we were staying off site.
It really helped when it was SOO busy to get lots of rides done early. Discounts soon add up too. :thumbsup2

Do you know if it is possible to buy Francilien or Fantasy passports from England?

We are going on 24th Sep and want to buy annual passports. I believe there is an offer now that kids can get free passport. My son is 3.

Can someone give a website from which we can buy passports? But not in French language, sorry, I do not speak French. If we buy Francilien passports from the web in advance, can we use them, lets say on our first day (25th) and then 26th and 27th? Or they will consider the first day of enry as the day of purchaise?
Francilien passport cannot be used 2nd or 3rd days after purchase.
Thanks.

I dont think you can actually buy them in advance. You need to get them when you arrive at the park

First of all: you don't have to buy them in advance as you can easily get them directly at the park entrances! The 'kids under 7 free AP' offer will be valid until January 2008.

If you still want to buy in advance, there are some "resellers" where APs can be obtained, also including the special offers mostly. One of them is FranceBillet (forum user sebhoff can positively report that online order works there :). Here's a »link to all of their Disney tickets.

They will send out a temporary Passport which has to be changed to a permanent one on the first visit day. Shipping to UK is a bit pricey though (as sebhoff reported).

Just to have this clearly stated:
- for 'kids under 7 free AP' kids has to be under 7 on the day of permanizing your APs at the AP office.
- same applies to the AP Francilien: the "first day" is that one when you permanize them, so you can't use them on day 2 and 3 of your stay independently of their first validity day (which might also be earlier!)

I would have to say Dream.
Francillien is only handy if you live close by, and for the extra that it costs in comparison to Fantasy, it's really worth it to pay more and get Dream.
That's what I did and I've not regretted it :)

A word of advice though: order it via the coupon in the back of the AP brochure or buy it directly in the park.
Do NOT order it online, I did that, and they send me a temporary one that I had to go exchange in the park. And I couldn't actually use any of the benefits on the temporary one either, cost me a world of grief.
