I want opinions please, which restaurants at the resorts, City Walk, US/IOA, and what makes or made it so special. I want to plan a special night with my husband.

Check into the Defino Rivera at PBH. They will fax you a menu and I hear you can't beat the atmosphere. If you got to orlandol.com and check out the resturants seems like this one was voted for it's romantic atmosphere. We were gonna eat there this weekend but chose not to becuase the menu is to sophisticated (sp?) for our palette.LOL Were doing RuthsChris tomorrow night, Mythose lunch saturday, and Jimmy's place on sat. night. Sun i have not figured out yet.LOL I think momma's deli or dang whats the name of that place in US>LOL I asked and they answered and now I can't remember ain't that a hoot!.LOL Check it out though it's prob worth your time.

PartyofSix,
That's Lombard's Landing in US.

Thanks! Keep the opinions coming! I need help and lots of it, because at this stage of my life I consider a hot dog and a beer romantic if there aren't any kids around me!!!!!!!!

I had the most romantic dinner ever at Delfino's! My DH took me there for my 40th birthday. We sat alone at their outdoor dining area.It overlooks the beautiful bay. Candle lit, white tablecloth, violinist playing, great food, great service too! At the end he had both the kids join us for cake. It was so memorable.

Delfino Riviera gets the "most romantic" award.

A beautiful room, impeccable service, and enough space between tables to feel alone with the one you love.

Another romance tip: If you're there at a time when the parks are open after dark, IOA has some secluded spots to snuggle up with that special someone.

My favorites: in the park in Port of Entry, near Hulk, looking across to Jurassic Park, and in JP behind the Discovery Center.

What is Delfino's dress code? Is there any area of the restaurant that is abetter place to sit? Do they have outdoor dining all year (We'll be there for New Years)? If they do, and I know this might be a silly question, what is the bug situation at that time of year? I can't stand dealing with bugs flying around me while I am eating!

Well, I dressed nice, but not dressy. I think pants & a blouse. My DH wore his *uniform* lol, Khakis, RL button down oxford. I'm sure he didn't wear a jacket because he never travels to Orlando with one. I did see people really dressed up also, but I didn't feel out of place the way I was dressed.
I'm sure they will set you up outside any time you want. But Jan. is pretty cold out at night & I wouldn't worry about bugs in Jan. Last Jan when I was there I had to buy ear muffs & mittens!
Keep in mind i's closed Sunday & Mondays.

I might be biased, but Mythos is as good a choice as any. There are many quiet, secluded booths in the restaraunt, and the atmosphere, music, etc is soothing. Not to mention our food is far and above the best at Universal.

Hey, if it was perfect enough a setting to propose to my fiance, it'll be perfect for yuor romantic evening.

SecondCook, what is the best seat in Mythos? My goal is to have two or three romantic meals without kids, so one will be at Mythos, Delfino's and maybe Emirils, unless I get some other good suggestions. Also SecondCook can you give me the inside scoop on New Years Eve at Mythos? Will they have a childrens menu? How far in advance will we need reservations, and can they accomoodate a party of seven (eight if my daughters florida boyfriend(?) joins us), or will we need two tables? Thanks in advance!

JMO, but I don't think Emerill's is at all romantic!
