Yep, TOT wins by a landslide. The Splash drop is a piece of cake, but TOT will keep you guessing.

You can actually start TOT by going up instead of down, and sometimes you'll launch up only to be immediatedly dropped giving you some serious air time.

I sometimes can't tell if I'm going up or down! ToT is one of my absolute favorites but it does get ya! Splash Mountain is a breeze.

Not only are the drops more intense on TOT, the theming of the ride makes it seem much, much worse because (if you're anything like me) you get psyched out prior to the ride starting. Both are great fun, though!

I have done TOT tons of times....and I STILL cant tell if I am going up or down! : I just ....scream!

Definitely the Tower of Terror -- so much of the ride is in the dark... creepy!

The drop on Splash is at an angle- like sliding down a slide at the park (but higher and on the water- Wheeeeeee!). ToT is a straight up and down drop- like in an elevator (but MUCH faster and scarier- Eeeeeeek!)

ToT is MUCH more intense- gives you that "stomach in your throat" feeling.

Splash Mountain's drop is so fast, I honestly can hardly tell it even happens. It takes about a million times longer to climb UP the hill!! TOT is definitely worse- but we love it just the same!

hands down, the scarier one is tot. splash is over in an instant and its happy happy happy the rest of the way...lots of fun. tot is fun, but in a spooky/scary kind of way

Depends on how you define "scarier." I'd say Splash Mountain is scarier physically, but Tower of Terror is scarier mentally.

I don't like the drops on rides. ToT is by far worse than splash Mountain. I didn't much like ToT!!!!

I'm gonna say Splash Mountain.

...and this is coming from someone who JUST recently found it in her to get onto ToT after several some odd years! lol.

In Splash Mountain you have the entire ride to think about that final drop and when you are going up that hill and you see Brer Rabbit there after the scavangers talk...ohh...sends shivers up my spine! lol. And then, you drop 52 feet and if you hang onto the handles you get that infamous "stomach" feeling that nags at me! lol. It isn't our WDW vacation until we have been on SM. lol.

The ToT also has that anticipation-nerves-thingy where you are sitting in the elevator going through the Twilight Zone and you just know you will drop...and you don't know how you'll drop! I didn't feel so much of a "stomach" feeling in the ToT as I do in SM -- which shocks me still!!! LOL (I think I need to go back and try it a few more times... lol)

Both rides are EXCELLENT and sure favorites of mine. Oh, what a difficult question! lol.

Even though I worked at Splash, I'll say that the drops on Tower are much, much scarier just for the simple fact that you don't know how many there will be for that particular time, you may shoot up really fast first instead of drop, and it's really, really dark at some points.

You know when the drops for Splash are. You can hear the rushing water and the screams (of fun!) from other Guests. Plus, you'll know when the Big One is coming because C-Lift takes a pretty long time to go up.

It's not that steep of a drop. It's a 45 degree angle. That means it's right in the middle from horizontal (0 degrees) and vertical (90 degrees). And it's over before you know it!

ToT's drop is much more intense. Plus you go up and down.

Splash's drop is gentle and easy. It is over quick and you have a bit more ride to recoop before you have to unload.
