Which is "thougher"?

If someone rode ToT, and while they were OK didn't love it, would they be OK on RNR coaster?

Which one has greater G forces?

RnR probably has greater G forces, but the two don't really compare point for point, they're entirely different.

That said, "scarier" is definitely the ToT...it's haunted! :)

If you like coasters, then RnR will be great. If you rode ToT and thought it was just OK, then you may think the same of RnR just because they both fit the "thrill ride" category, and both do a pretty good job of thrilling. But, they're tough to compare...the theming of ToT is second to none, and it's thrill is up and down. RnR's thrill is more linear.

I don't think G Forces come into play on ToT, since you're being pulled down faster than the force of gravity. You actually get weightless for a second (negative G Force). I haven't ridden RNR, but the takeoff must hit 3-4 Gs for a split second, from what I've heard.

For me, RnR is way scarier. I hate being hurled around in the dark. Being dropped in the dark isn't as scary, but that's just me...

I guess you just have to try and see for yourself.

Thanks for replying! :goodvibes
Have a great time on your trip. :goodvibes

My DW insists there is no competition between the two - she says that ToT is terrifying.

I've only been in ToT, but it would seem to me that it would be much scarier than RnR Coaster

My dd12 at the time HATED ToT.........but loved RNR. Surprised me because she loves thrill rides, but she was so petrified after ToT that she wasnt sure she wanted to ride RNR. (She was riding both for the first time)

RnR in my opinion. I love them both.

ToT, in my opinion, is much scarier than RnRC. ToT is a hotel that got struck by lightning in 1939. Now you are able to go on the maintenance service elevator, which takes you all the way to the top and drops you repeatedly. It's a very scary feeling, although I love it. The themeing on this ride takes you instantly to 1939 and you get a spooky feeling while walking through the lobby and boiler room.

RnRC's story is that you get backstage passes from Aerosmith to their concert in LA. But the streets are busy, so you take a super fast limo. You get rocketed off from 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. With that blast off, you reach 5 G's. It's very fun. There are 3 inversions, 2 half loops and 1 corkscrew. Both rides are very fun, my 2 favorite rides in WDW. And if you do get scared and don't want to ride, there's always the chicken exit!

I think that TOT is scary because I hate to drop like that. I love RRC, although the first time I rode I was quite surprised by the start of the ride. ;)

I don't ride thrill rides but my kids tell me that TOT was much scarier. They loved RNRC but don't want to go back on TOT. My older DD(8) said it made her feel like she had a fever

Have a great trip.

ToT is the more terrifying imo.
RRC is the same sequence every time and you can anticipate the roll and turns.
With ToT, the ride changes everytime and you cannot get the rythme of the drops: so the anticipation is more intense.

ToT scares the heck out of me and RRC makes my laugh (when it is over).

:cool1: :thumbsup2

if you look on the faces of people waiting in the cues of each ride, you will notice that those waiting for the tower appear to be much more frightened.

I'm not sure which one is scarier. I was petrified to go on T of T since I don't like drops, but I ended up LOVING it. Rn'R was scary, but not as thrilling for me.

Been on both many times, love them. :thumbsup2

Every single time I'm on TOT and we get to the end of the hall (ya know right before the big drop) I ask myself the same question. What the h%## am I doing on this ride. But I always love it :bitelip:

For me, ToT is WAAAAAY scarier than RnR. I rode ToT for the first, and possibly last time last year...I was petrified of the drops! It is thrilling though... ;)
