I assume we walk to TTC and catch monorail to somewhere we can get a boat.

Would we want to go to MK and then catch boat or is there some other way????

The fastest is taking a taxi to FW and then taking an internal bus to the Settlement (where HDDR is located).

Using WDW transportation, if MK is open, you can either take the monorail or a boat from the Polynesian to MK. Then you can take the FW boat from MK. If your longhouse is closer to the TTC, then take the monorail from there.
If MK is still open after HDDR, you can reverse the process. If not, there should be busses waiting at the Settlement bus stop to take you back to the resort.

I think Poly to Hoop would be the one case where a taxi might not be as fast, only because you're going in the wrong direction, only to backtrack. Taxi to WL, and then bus would be the quickest.

The routing of taking the monorail or boat to MK, and catching the boat there would be the best bet.

If you will have a car, drive to the FW parking lot and then take the internal bus.

We stay at the Polynesian often and wil miss the bus from TTC to FW. It was so fast and easy.

Tyler, the situation for a taxi from GF is the same as at the Polynesian, right. Further from GF of course.

But if you won't have a car, I'd monorail or boat to MK and then boat to FW as Ed and Tyler suggested.

The original poster never specified what time is her show. If it's a later show, then the boat will probably have stopped running when it's time to go. Tyler, aren't there buses for each resort parked outside Pioneer Hall?

Ed covered that in his last sentence, sotoalf. :sunny:

But you know that is a great question, sotoalf. I know in the past there was no seperate bus for Polynesian and GF guests. We just rode the TTC bus and then walked to the Polynesian or hopped the monorail to the GF. I think Tyler posted once that there might still be that TTC bus after the MK closed. Wonder what evolved. But as I write, I think I know. I bet it is a TTC bus in order to also get people back who parked at the TTC before going to the MK earlier in the day.

Anyway, hope Tyler knows what developed.

In the extremely RARE case that the MK closes at 6pm, one would take the monorail to the Contemporary, and catch the boat there.

In regards to getting back, there are three buses that will be parked out front. One covers the AK area (All-Stars, AKL, Coronado), one covers the DTD area (FQ/RS, OKW, SSR), and a third covers the Studios area (S/D/Y/B/BW, Pop, CBR). For the CR/Poly/GF, the first bus will take the CR, second bus will take Poly, and 3rd bus will take the GF. Speak to the drivers prior to boarding to ensure you will be boarding the proper bus. They may change the destinations according to traffic flow.

I agree that the old TTC-Ft Wilderness-WL bus was a godsend. Years ago when we used to stay at Ft Wilderness we would look forward to visiting the monorail resorts thanks to the availability of that bus, which was rarely crowded (I assume that's one of the reasons why it was discontinued).

At the time it was used mostly by guests commuting to EPCOT; this was before a direct EPCOT bus serving WL and the campground.

why not take the monorail from the poli to contemp and the boat to fw/hoop dee doo
