Which is faster?

We will have our car with us in WDW for the first time. Planning on driving to most of the parks if they have parking available. Magic Kingdom is the only one that makes you park at TTC right?
If so, is it faster to just take the bus from our resort or is driving to TTC and then taking monorail faster?
Thanks for any input.

MK is the only park we tend to bus to instead of drive. Until you drive, park at the MK/TTC lot, tram/walk to TTC, and then boat/monorail over, we feel the bus is faster. Of course, arriving at MK on the monorail that goes through the Contemporary is kind of an iconic way to show up!

Faster depends on when a bus shows up. You could walk right on or wait 20 minutes for the next bus. We like to drive because we actually like the monorail and think of it as a ride. We also really like that when we are ready to leave, we are out the door and never have to wait for a bus to get back to the resort. Aside from EOD fireworks we never wait more than one monorail train so maybe 5 minutes tops.

Hey- where else will you have the opportunity to ride a Monorail?
When I have a car, we always drive to the parks- all of them. It's so much faster than waiting for buses, especially at the end of a looong hot park day. Who wants to stand in line for a bus?

I agree with thanxformotion here. Bus to MK, drive everywhere else. As buzzgirls&dad says, you might have to wait 20 mintues for a bus, but I have had monorail trips that involved that much waiting too (on it when it breaks down, waiting at TTC when the one in front of you breaks down, etc). If you're not in preferred parking in the MK lots, you're often on a tram, so that's 3 separate modes of transportation to get to MK. It is possible that a bus takes longer than that, but its rare, IMO.
