Hi! Decided on DL for our Sept trip! Very excited. I know you can cut through the Grand for the PPH- is it a shorter walk than the Courtyard Marriott? PPH is much more expensive (at CM we would share a 2 bd suite so it is much cheaper than 2 rooms at PPH).

I am so used to staying onsite and getting the magic hour that I am scared I'll be disappointed w/ the CM despite the amazing reviews! Have a 4 and 1 year old so don't want a ridiculous walk.

Thanks!

I mapped it on google. From CM to esplanade was 0.4 miles. From PPH to same spot in esplanade was 0.7 miles. I would go for the CM. It's cheaper and newer and the walk isn't bad at all. There are great restaurants around, Mimi's, Panera, Pizza Press, and I am sure your 4 year old would love the water park. We have stayed at hojos the last couple trips and the walk is not bad at all. Plus, I love the room configurations at the CM. Have a great trip!

We just stayed 4 nights at the CM. We loved it. Rooms were big. We had 2 showers, bunk beds, microwave and fridge in room. It is only 8 months old. Very clean. My kids (13, 10 & 8) liked the water park. It would be good for younger kids. We stopped on our way home at Pizza Press twice. Panera and Mcdondalds are close.

I've stayed at both and really like both hotels. It depends on how much more expensive PPH is and if you'll be able to use EMH with a 4 yr old and a 1 yr old. I'm not sure of your exact dates but if it is a busy time (race weekend, etc) and you can be up early enough to use EMH than I love PPH. However, if it's not a really busy time or if you won't utilize EMH than I say save your money and enjoy CM. Your kids are the perfect ages for their waterpark and I'm sure would love it. The walk isn't bad at all. The rooms are spacious and really set up nicely for families. The day we checked out the bellman even took our luggage from our room and loaded it in our car so we could go straight to the parks. Amazing service at CM!
