More often than not it is cheaper to do them seperate. If you have time to look around on the net you can usually find great deals. If you don't have the time then the package might be a better "value" to you because it saves time and everything is under one reservation.

I booked our trip this past summer through AAA and I saved about $70 total. And I did book with 2 character meals. (I made PS for a third character meal later, as I couldn't leave DL without going to Goofy's Kitchen)

I did mine seperately, and I got a MUCH MUCH better deal then I would have together. And I have to agree... Getawaytoday is fantastic.
