i just bought 150 pts 2 days ago and i am planning to add approx 100.my question is which is better
-redo the contract for 250
-keep the old contract and add 100
-increase the first contract to 170 and add 80

I've heard people suggest having two contracts in case you ever want to sell one. You can't sell a partial contract. As to the split, I would lean toward the 150/100 split. I'm not sure why, it just seems like "80" is kind of an unusual number among points that are for sale if it ever came to that for you.

Assuming all options are cost neutral, I'd go for either #2 or #3.

If you decided you wanted to sell something down the road, you could just unload the add-on (or the original) and keep the remainder.

If you have not yet closed, I'd just have them redo it for 250 points. #2 also works well if you think you might want to sell a portion at a later date, but #3 won't work well since you'll have to pay $89 per point for contracts of less than 100 points.

I'd just do an add on of 100. There's no downside and if you did decide to sell alter, you'd be far better off.
