Which is better???

If you were trying to catch a 9:30pm showing of Illuminations...which do you think is the better choice?

A) a 7:40p ressie at Rose & Crown
B) a 9:15p ressie at La Hacienda

Without getting too far into this...I booked A and another person in our party thought they were doing me a favor and secretly booked B. Personally, I think A is the better choice + I really don't need to go to WDW to have Mexican food when I have more than enough great options here in TX. I just want some opinions before one gets canceled.

Well that depends. I have heard that the view from La Hacianda is very good, but there is a room that does not face the lagoon, which would seem some in the restaurant would miss it. (we haven't eaten there) My biggest beef would be if the restaurant is running behind, 10-15 minutes, you would miss the beginning, even if you had a view. Your Rose and Crown meal, you would be able to eat, but then you would still need to go find a place to watch the show. Good luck.

It depends on whether the goal is to see Illuminations along with eating, or eating and getting to see Illuminations.

Let me explain....which one is more important to you? The food or the view?

If the food, then go with the menu that appeals to you more.

If the view of Illuminations then go with La Hacinda.

Will you get to see Illuminations from your table with either of these ressies? I would think that you'd have to eat really slowly at R&C to keep a table that long. With the Hacienda ressie, my guess is that most of the Illuminations-view tables will be booked for 8:45-9pm and you might get stuck in the room with no view. If you really want to see Illum, I'd do R&C and find a spot outdoors for seeing the show.
