Hi all!

I think I may just be able to swing a good trip in to Disneyland next year.

I need some opinions from all you pros.

One choice is to go over Easter time. We would leave either Tuesday or Wednesday before Easter and stay until the Friday after Easter. I think the dates would be around March 30 to April 9.

My second choice is to go the second week of July. Again leaving on a Tuesday or Wednesday and coming back the following week on a Friday.

FIRST QUESTION: Any advice on what the weather is like at each of these times?

SECOND QUESTION: When do the kids have spring break in the area?

THIRD QUESTION: Which choice would you pick and why?

I really appreciate any info and help that I can get.
Thanks so much in advance.

Have a great day!!!
Beth

It will be much warmer in July than in April. If you like the heat or you want to spend some time at a beach, then I would choose July. It sounds like you will be there for long enough to work around the crowds in either case.

Weather would definately be better in April, crowds might be the same. Since you have such a long time (will everyday be spent in the parks??) I'd prefer to go in April. Do you have children? If so since they'd be missing some school (if you went in April) perhaps you could visit some other time during low crowds and have a shorter trip. We visited the 1st week of this month (March) and it was great. My kids missed 3 days of school, (we flew in early Mon. morning and flew home Thurs. evening ~ that Thurs. was a non school day for them).

FIRST QUESTION: Any advice on what the weather is like at each of these times?

Weather will be hotter in July, we normally go in late June/July and have never had any rain or bad weather. If swimming and beach is your thing then you might be better off in July

SECOND QUESTION: When do the kids have spring break in the area?
Sorry can't help

THIRD QUESTION: Which choice would you pick and why?
I would pick July - Weather hotter (we like the heat), less chance of anything being down for refurb, World of Colour due to open spring of 2010, may be a little more crowded but April will still be busy

Thanks for the wonderful replys. It is much appreciated.

It will be me, DH, 12 DD, and 10DS traveling.
The time frame in April is spring break for them. They would only miss two or three days of school so that is why I am looking at those dates.

If we went in the summer, I would really prefer June but DH's work doesn't work out for this. So either July or August is really our only summer choices.

We aren't much into swimming so that really isn't important to us.

We are looking to do LegoLand first, then sightsee over the weekend. We would then go to Disneyland from partial days from Monday thru Thursday or Friday.

When is the rainy season?

Thanks
Beth
