we are going down in nov-dec 08. there will be 6 of us, 2 adults and 4 kids aged 17,17,16, and 13.

we are dvc members and are going to stay on points.

we are going to stay in resort for 2 nights, go on cruise for 4 nights, then return and stay 2 more nights at wdw.

i currently have us booked in 2 studios for the stay, the adults in 1, the kids in the other.

do you think its better to change to a 2 bedroom unit for all of us, or leave as it is? we dont normally spend a lot of time in the rooms, mainly in the parks. i know the 2 bedrooms looks bigger, but it costs more points as well, about 42 more at SSR for the 4 nights, and more if we move to BCV, VWL or BWV-which i hope to do when the 7 month window comes up.

With two studios, there is no guarentee that the rooms will be next to each other. There may also be an age restriction on the guests that are allowed to occupy the room. You may want to check on that.

I know the points are more, but you will be all together. You will have a fabulous bathroom off of your master bedroom! You will also have an in unit washer and dryer, which could come in real handy for doing laundry either before or after your cruise. :thumbsup2

Good luck with your decsion

When my family went last year with friends we each had a studio and requested to be near each other. The front desk people seemed pleased with getting us as close as possible. When we got to our section we were in the same building, even on the same floor. Our rooms were at the opposite ends of the building-ours was the furthest on the left and theirs was the furthest on the right. Even if you told Disney that one of the adults was staying in the other room, I don't know if I'd be comfortable with the kids that far (or further) away from us.

When we went in Dec ( party of 7) we were going to book 2 studios and decided to go with the 2 bedroom dictated Loved it .. A lot more room the washer & dryer and the full kitchen were a Plus..Don't forget the jacuzzi feels good after a long day in the parks ..

Get the two-bedroom. We stayed in one with family and it was great having a full kitchen, plus a living/dining area where we could gather as a group, and have coffee and plan the day and, although I don't like doing the wash, having the washing machine/dryer was great. Also, with the two-bedroom, if dedicated, you'll get another queen bed instead of a second sofa bed.
