We are going to WDW and will have 3-4 days to visit the parks. We are thinking of doing Epcot, MK, and MGM. What is the best type of ticket to buy for this? Is there a 3 day park-hopper or should we get individual tickets per day per park? TIA

You can get the park hopper option on any amount of days. Personally, I would go with a 4 day base ticket, which is 1 park per day. We tend to find we waste time by switching parks, and each park has plenty to devote an entire day to it.

you can get a ticket for any length of time with the hopper option, and im pretty sure you can do a 4 day pass for only a few dollars more than the cost of a 3 day pass, so if you think you might want 4 park days, i would spend the extra $5 and get the 4 day pass.

whether or not to get the park hopper option depends on how old the youngest members of your group are. i have 2 kids under 3yo, so naps are essential. they need to nap in their beds/pack n plays, they cant nap in the stroller, so we have to go back to the room mid-day. then in the evening we go back to the parks. sometimes it is a different park than we went to in the morning, so for us park hopping is a must. its nice to be able to do animal kingdom in the morning and magic kingdom at night, since AK closes so early anyway. or go to epcot and see the characters in the morning and MK at night, or whatever. but if you have older kids who dont need naps and who can spend a full day in the parks, then i wouldnt get the hopper option.

I would agree with getting 4 days. The extra cost is very low. That way you can revisit your favorite park or try AK on the forth day. Try to stay away from single day tickets if possible (esp. if you are planning more then 1 day at the parks).

The park hopper is a good choice if you plan on going to more then one park a day. If you are absolutely sure you will do one park only a day, then no need to pay for the park hopper. If unsure, I would get it. You can upgrade at the parks, but it is better to be prepared.

Hope you enjoy your trip:cheer2:

Thanks for the advice! I think we'll go for the park hopper. How much are those going for these days? Last time DH and I went to Disney by ourselves, I think it was like $60 for 3 days!!
