I am taking my family down to Disney next Oct to celebrate a great many thing (25th ann. Son becoming Eagle and graduating high school and starting college and another son's confirmation). Which traditionally has given a better discount an AP or Disney Club. I need to lknow soon so I can apply to the last year of the club.

Thanks for all the help. I had a great trip this past August due to these boards and I know we will have a great one this October.

Ap will get you a better discount.

AP is usually more. DC runs from 10% to 20% depending on season and resort type. AP runs about 40% off.

Neither discount is always avaiable and is subject to avalibility.

The AP discount is usually best - but if you plan on being on the phone with CRO for PS, ressie changes etc. - the toll free number is awesome! I couldn't believe how much I spent on a week of attempting to get CRT ressies!

Also, the 10% off Disney Store purchases add up quickly - at least for me!

Thanks for all your help. I think it is AP

Just an FYI, wait to purchase the APs. We already have ours from an August trip but right now for instance they are offering a great code available for anyone (check mousesavers.com). It only cost about $10 more a night then the rate we are getting w/ an AP. IF I didn't already have one I wouldn't be buying one now! Plus if you have AAA it is about the same rate as DC. For CRT the 800 number doesn't really help. By the time they would link you through it sells out so calling directly if really the best way to go--unless you are looking for cancellations!

AP, definitely, as you can get other discounts with it, as well! Also, just to let you know, the Disney Club will cease to exist in December of 2003, and I am not sure they are even accepting applications for it anymore. Also, only one person in your party needs to have the AP, unless everyone wants one.

AP = Annual Pass. An AP will give you access to all four parks for a period of 365 days. This starts from the day you activate the pass not when you purchase it. A Premium Annual Pass will give you access to all four parks and all water parks and Pleasure Island for the same length of time.
