for 2 adults, 3 kids (7-5-1)??

We will spend some time at parks, but hope to spend at least 1 full day not leaving the hotel...we will be there the first week of April!!

We were there in October and loved it!!! My nephews voted Universal better than Disney...

I would suggest HRH, because it is the closest to the parks, within walking distance. The have the best pool. Kids love the theming.

If you can swing it, rent a cabana for the hotel day. We rented the Stevie Wonder Cabana. Great location with kids. I loved not having to fight for lounge chairs.

Need more info on your price range and what you are looking for.

All 3 onsite hotels offer something different, there is really no winner.

And I have a list of the off site properties if you want to save money.

Sorry, should have been more clear. on-site only, we are staying off site for 4 nights during the same stay at either Nick or Wilderness cabins.

We are going try the kids suite at HRH with our three kids (6,5,2) in December, so I will post a report when we get back...

just returned from 4 nites at rpr. have one son age 10. he loved it. we went to the hrh for dinner and walked back. my observations are that the rpr is much more quiet--hrh hotel is frenetic(at 9 at nite the pool had a lot of folks in or around it at hr, there was no one in the rpr). walking distance from rpr to ioa is shorter than hrh to ioa. exact opposite is true of usf. hrh was about 3 minutes shorter to the first park(4min vs. 7min.--we actually timed it) we stayed in tower 1 which was the closest to the walkway. the boat ride to citywalk is nice, but it seemed like it was never there when we were ready to leave, so we walked most of the time. next time we go will be in 5 yrs and we will stay at hrh because he'll probably be ready for the cool hrh vs. the quiet rpr.
