I know this is not the most original thread, but after our first trip at ASM in sept 2001 and our second trip H.I international drive in May 2003 , we are booking our third trip for this coming june. we are undecided where to stay as we always go with virgin but now all disney resorts they offer do not include ultimate hopper tickets as standard. so i have a list of hotels and would like to see if anybody has any reviews or suggestions for us. we like the sound and location of downtown disney and would like to stay at disney but is it worth it, as we liked asm but found it very basic for the price! Our main two choices are coronado springs or caribbean beach, but we would like to see how you vote! thanks all !!!:earsboy:

Out of your choices, I can only give you my opinion of Sheraton Safari, where we've stayed for a few days last October and again this October.

It's position is great - within walking distance of the Crossroads area which is full of restaurants, a supermarket, mini golf, shops - and there's an IHOP, Sizzler, Shoneys and another restaurant which I can't remember.

The hotel itself I think is good value for money. The pool view rooms are great - the pool itself if fantastic and all the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are a reasonable size, perhaps a little "dark" in decor for some people's tastes, but then it's a "safari" jungle theme so we think it fits in. There is a safe in each room (and 1 bedroomed suites are available for an upgrade price). The rooms are in 4 or 5 different blocks, all around the pool. Plenty of parking and as I say within walking distance of shops and restaurants (right next door is Sizzler, Tony Roma's, Eckerds, Olive Garden).

If you do use this hotel, become member's of Sheraton's Preferred Guest programme (SPG) - we have and both years we've got on of their special SPG guest rooms!

If you need others to think about, we've also stayed at Polynesian, AKL, HRH, Sheraton World, Grosvenor, shout if you need any more info on these.

Haven't been to any of the 1st four but have had a look round the last two.

Coronada Springs i thought looked really well great pool lol
