If I had to travel alone and could not swing a deluxe I would go with POFQ. It is the smallest of the moderate resorts (read not as spread out). It also has nice boat transportation to DTD. The theming is Mardi Gras and I prefer that to the Old South themeing of POR.

Sometimes a standard view room at the AKL and WL can be had for about $109 to $119 a night plus tax with a code. If you can fit that into your budget I would go with one of these resorts over a moderate any day.

I don;t think any particular Disney Resort is better than any other one for single travelers unless you want to stay at the Boardwalk for a bit of the nightlife there. Just pick the resort that has the theme you like the best. I stayed at All Star Music alone and Coronado Springs. Both were fun and nice and transportation was good. I don;t go to bars or clubs so they worked out fine for me.

I've stayed at 5 different hotels on solo trips (and was solo at a 6th for a day til DH got there). I really don't think there's a bad choice. My favorite used to be POR, but last week I stayed at BCV solo for the first time. Now I'm quite sure that's my "solo resort of choice". DH doesn't believe me, but the only resorts I would be hesitant to stay at solo are the ones that are his 2 favorites, POFQ & OKW, because staying at either one of those might make me miss him. I like going to a resort that we don't go to together, but maybe that's just me. Again, I really LOVE BCV!!

I would give another vote for PO, because of the boat ride to Downtown Disney! :)

I would definitely say PO-FQ. It is smaller, more intimate and convenient. Also, if you desire nightlife, you can take a short walk, or the boat over to PO-R and visit the River Roost Lounge.
