Looking to book 4 or 5 nights after our Disney Dream cruise for next year (first week will be at Pop or a moderate), and we are wanting to stay at a deluxe on the monorail.

The options are the Polynesian garden view (Henry's favourite to stay), Contemporary tower view MK view (to me this is the best value for money) or the Grand Floridian garden view (Henry is the least keen, and we both worry the rooms are a little bit old lady?:rolleyes1 but if we can get the Grand Floridian at an affordable rate part of me thinks we should stay there ). They are all about the same price.

Would love to hear your thoughts as we can't decide!:)

I voted for the Poly as I love it there. :cloud9:

When I booked the Poly for our trip last year I had a similar decision to make as the Poly & GF were pretty much the same price but i've always wanted to stay at the Poly so couldn't pass up the chance.

I've not stayed at the Contemporary (only BLT) but the 5 min walk to MK is fab! :thumbsup2

Good luck making your decision.

Any any any as all look lovely.Never stayed at any but my favorite would be the poly.Love the rustic feel of the place.2nd would be the GF as love the grandness of it and contemp last.Great location but done think the hotel has much theming and pool area very bare for my liking.

I have voted Poly, only one I would consider staying at, don't like GF & I think the Contemp is the worst looking building in the area:rotfl2:
Only problem with Poly is its so busy, with such good places to eat & self serve Dole whips it gets more than its fair share of outsiders, our last trip we were there 3 times, packed every time.
Personally I prefer AKL or WL but Poly is my fave around the lake.

I voted Floridian as I adore the DLH, the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego and the Plaza in NYC, all of which are along similar lines to it.

When we were booking our "dream come true" nights for our wedding it was an absolute no brainer which resort we wanted.

Hayley just stayed there for a few nights (also stayed at WL and AKL) and she has told me that if she could have ahd one wish it would have been to change her entire 3 week stay to the GF!

But, every week I say if I were to win the lottery I'd book a week to taste the wedding menu and go to MNSSHP and I'd stay at the Poly MK view (as we're booked for GF and BLT already)

With the standard views out of all 3 I'd definitely go for GF though, as I think with Poly I'd worry about car park view, and with CR I wouldn't want to be out in the garden wing, I'd want to be in the Tower.

My vote is for GF, it's the one place on the monorail most people say "one day i'll stay there".
We love sitting in the lobby and just watching people, my second fav place is Contemporary, it's a love/hate place, we stayed there a few years ago and loved it, we watched wishes every night from our balcony.

Ive not been in any of them but i would go for poly pos the contemporary(the rooms look nice but not so keen on the outside).I agree with you about the Gf rooms but im sure its a great hotel.i def plan on having a look in some of them in a few weeks.

I'd vote for the poly, never been but it looks the best that I'd be able to afford tbh

I voted for the Contemporary. I have stayed at Contemporary and polynesian and nowdays I think the Contemporary is much better. I also love that you can just walk to or from MK if you want to (we usually walk in and monorail back!) I agree that the Poly is far too busy nowdays and service has suffered as a result. GF never appealed to me!

So hard to pick, i've stayed at the Poly which I loved and 1 night at the GF which I also loved. What type of things do you think you'll want to do while your there? I loved watching Wishes from the Poly beach. From the Poly you can walk to the TATC so that opens up transport options as well esp getting the monorail to Epcot.

I voted contemporary because you will be able to wake up and look at the castle :cloud9:

Don't under-estimate the value of the walking path and having the monorail right there either.

The contemporary *is* WDW to me as it is one of my strongest childhood memories of riding the monorail through the building.

We own DVCat BLT but we are actually staying a few nights cash in the tower this November and I can't wait.

Have you seen the pictures of the rooms at all 3?

BTW the GF is the last place we would want to stay too - just not our style!

Contemporary . . . I would love to be able to walk to MK in the morning! Plus its my first ever memory of Disney, going on the monorial through there!!! Love it!

Just re-read your first post!

And of your 3 room options I'd go for CR MK view!

Didn't know about the self serve Dole whip, I think we will be paying a visit to The Captian on our next trip :goodvibes

Hi! I voted Contemporary!

I have stayed at the Poly.. I just cant grasp what all the hype is about. Yes it was a nice stay but def. not my favorite.. and the only thing really worth it to us was the MK and Lagoon View.we loved that! And with the contemp you would have the magical view!

So are these Dole Whips pineapple flavour soft ice-cream?

Luv Suzy

Yes, myself and Matt love Pineapple:goodvibes Karen doesn't she is not a fan, there is also a freezer with Mickey bars and other lollies or you can see on the machine another handle, that is vanilla soft serve.

My choice would be the polynesian:) I would like to try the GF though to see what it is like to stay there.

I voted for the poly, I adore that resort! The theming is so pretty and it felt like I was walking around a tropical island while I was there.
