which hotel would you go to for your honeymoon...

Hello everyone im trying to plan my brother's honeymoon in july which hotel should he go to:

Villas of Grand Cypress
Universal's Portofino Hotel
Universal's Royal Pacific Hotel
Bonnet Creek Resort

also do you think it would be a good idea to go to discovery cove (swimming with the dolphins) for 259 a person you can do that and have 7 days at seaworld.
I think he also wants to go to universal and island of adventure thats why i was going to suggest the universal hotels...

Portofino' I hear is romantic. So, that if staying onsite. If not try Rosen Shingle creek. I believe they still offer free shuttle to universal.

I've stayed at Bonnet Creek and Royal Pacific. They are both very nice. You certainly have a lot more space in your room at Bonnet Creek, and it's great if you are going to be spending a lot of time of Disney. For a honeymoon, I'd probably pick Royal Pacific so I wouldn't have to cook! It is definitely a luxury RESORT with room service and great restaurants. My sister-in-law stayed in a king corner room (I think that's what it was called) and it sounded a lot nicer than our standard room. The pool is much more romantic than Bonnet Creek's pool. Definitely eat at Tchoup Tchoup (one of Emeril's restaurants). There will be lots of kids at Royal Pacific. I've heard that Portofino caters a little more to adults and the standard rooms are bigger.

If you want to go for a hotel rather than renting a private vacation home, I would not hesitate to recommend the Grande Hotel at Reunion Resort, it is yet little known but it is 5* all the way!!!

They don't have a lot of pictures of the Grande on their website at the moment and you will need to ring reservations for a quote, but there is everything you can possibly need or think of, it is also a cashless and tipless community. The rooms in the hotel are the best I've seen anywhere, there are also 3 championship golf courses, spa, tennis court, water park, gyms, you name it you get it!!!

I can't post the link because I don't have a lot posts on this forum but if you go on Google and type in Reunion Resort it should come up as the first link.

I think I replied to your other thread. My vote is still Portofino Bay. IMHO, there's no other resorts in Orlando that are more romantic. The atmosphere allows you to totally leave the theme park feel behind. FWIW, RPR isn't as nice or romantic as PBH. We've stayed at all 3 UO resorts, & PBH is by far the most romantic & adult oriented. As I noted before, if money isn't an object, have them book a suite, & request a bayview w/ a balcony. All suites don't have balconies, but hopefully they'd get lucky have their request honored for a honeymoon.

I agree with this completely and would like to add that by staying onsite at Universal, your room key will get you FREE unlimited front of the line (FOTL) access while you're in the parks - a very nice perk if the parks are crowded!

If romance is the objective, then another suggestion would be the Grand Bohemian hotel downtown, formerly a Westin. Consistantly rated the "most romantic" hotel in the Orlando area, in addition to a fabulous restaurant. Its in downtown Orlando, so bout 30 mins to the parks, but worth it. Granted I am biased as they signed my paycheck for several years

As for the hotels you mentioned, I love the Villas of Grand Cypress. I spent a weekend there a few weeks ago and it was great. Secluded, yet right in the middle of everything. Wanna spend the day in the room, great, you have the place to yourself. Wanna hit the parks, then you're a pitching wedge away from WDW. Thats not far in case you arent a golfer....

Stayed at RPR 2 years ago and it was terrific.

Large pool area with some private cabanas that you can rent. Emeril's new place is there. You have charge back priviledges to your room using your key card.

There is a boat that you can take from the 'plane' lagoon that will take you right to the dock at CityWalk in between both parks.

thanks everyone for your responses...i recommended the universal resorts to my brother, however he choose floridays resort on i drive...i hear the place has ongoing construction but very beautiful and relaxing...hopefully he has a great time.
