Which hotel was this? Anaheim Residence Inn Maingate?

When I went in 1999, we stayed in a villa-type hotel room. Our room had a second story (a loft, with a double or queen bed), and then downstairs there was a living room with a couch that pulled out into a bed, plus another bed. There were 6 of us that stayed in the room. There was a pool, and the hotel had a shuttle to/from the park.

I think it was a Good Neighbor hotel, but did those exist in 1999?

I looked on the website and the pictures of the Anaheim Residence Inn Maingate look familiar so I think that was it, but I'm not sure because the pool isn't matching up with what I remember.

Are there rooms with lofts at Anaheim Residence Inn Maingate?

I peaked back at some pics on tripadvisor, and there WERE rooms w/lofts. I think this is likely the same place, because there are not any other villas in that direct vicinity that i am aware of. This is listed as a Good Neighbor Hotel.

Yes there sure are! We stayed there in January and loved it. There are many small buildings around the grounds, each had different rooms below and above. Our room was a loft, on the second floor of the building (the main floor of the room is accessible from the top level of the building, if that makes sense). On the main floor there was a room with two queen beds, and a bathroom, partitioned by glass doors, as well as the dining area and a lounge room. Up the stairs in the room on the top 'loft' was another queen bed (I think it was queen sized) and another bathroom.

I hope that helped. It probably was RI Maingate, as there are few villa type suite places in the DL area. I'd recommend it to anyone with a medium-big sized group who want a bit more space.

Yes, sounds right. But, they no longer have their own shuttle (very few hotels do). If you don't want to walk, there is now a huge shuttle sytem servicing many hotels, Anaheim Resort Transit.
