Good luck wls23 on January 9. I ran it for the first time this year, and my lovely spouse was so excited (or perhaps amazed I finished) that we're both running in 89 days. The sections through EPCOT and the MK are really fun, and even the between part is interesting.
The issue for 1/2 runners is it starts just east of EPCOT's parking lot, and finishes in front of the Polynesian. Getting to the start is tough with all the numbers. Disney wants you in the corrals at a very early time, but I walked out of the Boardwalk at 5 am this year and was in my corral by 5:45, a combination of walking and hitching a ride on a Disney bus. We had a car, and my wife picked me up at the finish and drove me back to the Boardwalk.
Busses and the monorail run, but they start very early and (they say) finish well before the 6 am start. They also have transport from the 1/2 marathon finish area back to the resorts. Last year I noticed a bunch of runners coming over at the last minute from the Port Orleans and Old Key West resorts. It looked like they knew what they were doing, and this time we're spending the night before the race there. Hopefully it will be as easy as it looked. Getting back may be interesting, but we'll give it a try.
I'll see you in the corrals.
