I'm booking my package through Costco (last minute! We're driving up in two weeks!), and these are the hotels that are currently available:

Best Western Anaheim Inn
Radisson Maingate
Hotel Monage
Holiday Inn Suite

They said the Radisson Maingate has a shuttle (maybe it's too far?) and free parking. Holiday Inn Suite they said was behind the park?? Does that make sense? They also told me the Best Western was right across the street, and the Hotel Monage (sp?) was a newly aquired Good Neighbor hotel.

Anyone have any recommendations or preferences, or any good/bad stories? It will be me, my husband, and my 3 yr old and 1 yr old.

Thanks for any advice you can provide!

Best Western Anaheim Inn is the closest to the park entrance and a real easy walk. It has gotten decent reviews over the years.
Raddisson is farther away and not as nice. It is okay if you get a good deal.
Hotel Manage was the Holiday Inn at the Park until recently. It looks nice but the walk is not easy and it is located on a triagular piece of land between two really busy roads and Highway 5.
Holiday Inn Suites I am not sure which one this is. If it is on Manchester that is a new and nice hotel though far enough away to not really walk too. If it is the one on Walnut, that is an older remodeled hotel that is next to the DL parking structure so you can catch the DL tram after a short walk.

I would go with the BW Anaheim.

I believe the Holiday Inn is the one on Walnut that you talked about -- the older one that I can take the tram.

So, still stay at the Best Western over the Holiday Inn? There's only a $20 difference, so not enough to really make or break me.

I'll definitely rule out the Radisson, and it sounds like the Menage is too far. So it's down to BW or HI.

Thanks everyone!

I have not stayed at either one of those places but have been by them many times. The reviews seem a bit better on the BW. The BW Anaheim is really close to walk.
Here is a link to an ariel photo. http://www.beachcalifornia.com/dlmp.html

In the upper left corner you will see the DL Parking Structure. The Holiday Inn is right above the work "parking".
OPn the right side of the photo at the top you will see "Harbor BLVD". The BW Anaheim Inn is about an incha and a half below that, between the two "hotels" words.

We stayed at the Best Western Aneheim Inn back in Aug. 2005 for our 1st trip to Disneyland. From our room at the BW to the entrance of Disneyland it was a 5 minute walk. The room was clean and quiet and I'd stay there again. Very convenient!

The Best Western Park Place Inn is AT the crosswalk and has free breakfast. It's the best, I will be staying there in Sept. If you can avoid shuttles and parking then do. It saves so much time. :wizard:
