Which hotel, Pop, PO, or SSR/OKW

I can't decide where to stay.

Pop is about half the price of SSR/OKW (less than £700 to £1400). Is SSR/OKW worth paying twice as much?

PO is about £250 less than SSR/OKW, if we are paying so much more than Pop should we just keep going to SSR/OKW.

DH was not that keen on Pop, I liked it but would like to stay someplace different. My aim is to stay at every resort!

HELP!

Is it just you and your DH, i.e. no kids?

I wasn't taken with SSR. We went and checked it out last year. My main reason: seemed to have more adult appeal in my opinion and I had a child. Looked lovely, but just not for me at this stage.

If you have done Pop, why not rule it out, then you only have two to play with.

Honestly, if PO is only 250 less, you may as well go with SSR, but you could stay at PO and save the £250 to do V&A?

I enjoyed Pop too and I would gladly stay there again. However, from what you've said, it seems you're leaning towards SSR: you mention the relatively small, £250 difference between SSR and PO, plus you would like to stay somewhere new.

If money isn't an issue, go for SSR. :thumbsup2

If you're going when the free dining is on, than go for SSR as with that one you get the proper Dining Plan rather than the "quick service dining plan".
If you're going at others times, I'd be tempted to save the £250 and go for POR (reasons I mentioned in the other post) as it has a better food court than SSR and I prefer the overall feeling of POR. Even though the rooms at SSR are better, have nicer airco and a mini kitchen...

For our trip with free DDP for 21 days its costing £2,100 for OKW but would have been £1,386 at a value with no DDP. Simple choice, costing extra £714 for food that will be worth approx $3,150 (based on last years average of $150/day) and a room/resort way better than a value(I guess thats a personal opinion as I would never stay in value again, rather stay offsite)

Not getting free DDP although we could as we have annual passes.

We have no kids.

Doesn't have to be SSR could be OKW as they are the same price.

I'm wondering how many more years they'll offer SSR/OKW at half price, should we stay there now while its cheap.

Then again we are saving up to move so that £700 can go towards that!

Then agian after this trip not sure when we'll be back to WDW.

My brain hurts.

We are staying at OKW this year, like you I aim to stay at every resort and have decided to stay there whilst cheap. If picking between POR and POP (I have stayed at both) I would pick POP. Just liked theming better.

My brain hurts.

You're the second one to say that on here today! :rotfl2:

How much time do you spend at your room? Do you need the extra space?
If you are not getting free dining with any of them, would you be able/happy to cook some of your own meals and maybe take the occasional packed lunch into the parks (i.e. make good use of the SSR kitchenette)?

If you answered yes to most/all, then you may not be that badly off at SSR/OKW. The money you would save doing even one meal a day in your resort adds up quite quickly over a couple of weeks at Disney vs buying meals in the parks for EVERY meal! That saving could offset some of the extra cost of the accommodation. You won't have that option at Pop or POR.

If you answered no to most or all of the questions, maybe POR would be best suited to you for this trip.

I've gone for POFQ!

:thumbsup2
Don't know much about the resort but I think the food courts (POR & POFQ) are about the best CS food onsite along with Wolfgang Pucks. We ate 9 lunches (3 at each) between the 3 places last August. :cloud9:

My DW and myself stayed at POR last year and it is a very picturesque resort. It was lovely to walk around the grounds and although it was very busy, it never felt crowded. I believe POFQ is quieter.:)

sounds good :thumbsup2

I'd go for PO. SSR and OKW just don't appeal to me at all.

Is CSR available for the same price as PO? That'd be my ultimate choice for a Mod.

Good choice Claire, we are looking at staying at POFQ when we go in August
