Hello!:flower3:

I want to stay at one of the "Good Neighbour" hotels in DL this July.

The pool will be an important part of the trip, so I was wondering which hotel has the nicest pool, especially for an 11 and 9 year old?

Any added pics would be much appreicated!!

Thanks:goodvibes

The Howard Johnson is in the process of creating a pirate themed pool with slide. The project is slated to be complete at the beginning of July. It will be by far the best pool of of the off-site hotels (and maybe even better than some of the DLR resort hotel's). I don't have a link to the plan photos that were being posted, but perhaps someone else does.

Thanks for the replies . . . I had no idea HOJOS was adding this pool area.

Are there are any other half decent hotels with pools nearby Disney?

If not Hojo's (which when completed will no doubt be the best), we like the pool at the Tropicana. Seems to be larger then the hotels around it. We also really liked their hot tub. Big and clean!

No room at Hojo's for my dates:sad1:

Thanks, JenDisneylandlver . . . I will check Tropicana out!

Any other suggestions? How is the Candy Cane Inn pool?

To the best of my knowledge the upcoming HoJo pool and the pools at the Disney resorts are the best. Most of the other places around the area have generic pools with no theme and not a lot of greenery. The pool at Candy Cane in is located in the center of the parkinglot next to the Office and "kitchen) where they serve the breakfast. It is a decently landscaped area and is pretty enough but it not very big. The pool areas at the Annabella are pretty as well with some greenery around the area. The other smaller motels generally have rectangular pools next to their parking areas. desert Inn and Suites has a small in door pool that is in a way small room that is really loud with the echos of kids playing and screaming. Ramada Maingate has sort of a fun looking free form pool that I have always though would be a good place to play but the hotel doesn't get the best ratings.

The Camelot Hotel's pool is on the 4th floor. Not really that 'cool',but different. :thumbsup2
