Which hotel for a suite?

We'd like to stay in a suite on our trip so that we can let our kids sleep in a separate area so they aren't disturbed during nap time and can go to bed earlier. I know that the Doubletree DTD is suite hotel but the reviews on it haven't been that good from what I've read. I don't want to spend the $400 - 500/night at Disney but we'd like to stay at a nice place (clean). Any suggestions?

Here are a few popular, very nice suite hotels; Embassy suites, HIFS, Homewood suites & Caribe Royal. They are all in the same basic price range ($110-$150 pn) and close to WDW. Another idea is to rent a timeshare, Sky auction has many to bid on. You can usually get two bedrooms for as little as $400.00 a week!

The Marriott Residence Inn near dt disney is nice and affordable with a 2 bedroom unit, everyone would be happy.

Above recommendations are good. But I'd recommend renting a house or condo. You can get a 2-bedroom condo as low as $55/nite, a 3-bedroom condo from $63/nite and a 3-bedroom pool house from $79/nite. Tons of space and amenities compared to any of the suite hotels.

We have booked a suite at Homewood suites near wet n wild for Oct. incl breakfast every morning and managers reception 4 evenings per week. Cost $38 inc tax per night, did research before I booked and all I could find was good reviews.
This price was given by website airnet.co.uk here in th UK back in January, the same suite now is around $73 incl per night.

We stayed at the Homewood Suites Lake Buena Vista and were very pleased.

Seriously consider renting a condo or timeshare. My family (which has four children) rented a week at Horizons by Marriott for $599 the first week of December. 2 bdrm/2 baths. The kids had their own room (2 queen beds) and we had a king size bed in the master. Much more relaxing than our last stay at Disney (Dixie Landings trundle room) when my youngest were babies. Plenty of room to stretch out, kitchen, in room washer/dryer, and an unbelievable pool. We rented someone else's week through a link on TUG, so there was no timeshare presentation to sit through. Plus we got to enjoy all the activities that owners participate in. If you think you might like to go this route, consider joining TUG (Timeshare User's Group). I think it is $10 to join.

I did look at the Marriott Vacation Villas through the Marriott site and was considering one of them. What do they supply? I know that housekeeping is limited which isn't a problem. Are the rooms/kitchen clean?

I would have to say quality. Although price is always an issue

, we would not be willing to stay somewhere that has poor quality. As I said, I don't want to be paying $300+/night but we don't have a set budget to have to stay within. We would like to stay in a 3 1/2* - 4* hotel with a good deal.

In response to quality and/or cleanliness, you really cannot go wrong with any of the Marriott timeshares. We stayed at Horizons and our rooms were spotless upon arrival. I'll admit that when I booked Horizons, I was a bit nervous. We had never stayed off-site before. I had read plenty of comments/reviews both at the DisBoards and TripAdvisor (all positive as I recall). We were not disappointed. The manner in which you rent your time there will determine the housekeeping options. I believe that if you rent directly through Marriott, housekeeping is included. We rented someone else's timeshare week, so housekeeping was not included. It was available for an additional fee (I can't remember how much), but I just tidied up myself. There is dish detergent, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, and a carpet sweeper in each unit.
