looking for some advice on which hotel. this will be our first non-diney resort trip and I am a little nervous! We are looking to go late June or early August. Where should I go for the best rates/discounts?

ps we are traveling with three children: 10, 3, and 6 mo

You need to provide a bit more info than that...

Do you want to stay at an onsite Universal resort? Or offsite?

How cheap do you want your room?

We're staying at the HRH for $129 pool view with the Universal Fan Club rate. You can also get $125 Garden view with the Entertainment book.

All you have to do is call the Universal phone number and ask them what specials they have and mention if you have AAA or the Fan Club or the Entertainment book.

If you mean offsite, I can't really help you.

I mean onsite.

Which of the three would you recommend? How do they compare to disney resorts? Can you have 2 adults 3 children in the rooms?
Would you recommend the Loew's card? I that how you get a fan rate?

Thanks for any info.

The loews rate is as good as your going to get .The off season has the best rates. The 2 tix deal is very good. The HRH is more then the RPH by 20.00 or more a night. They are both in the park

the fan club rate is available with the fan club card which you have to get through your place of work, if they have it. If you check old posts, I believe there is someone that may be able to send you one. I would think entertainment rate is your best bet.

I have never heard of a lowes rate. Your best rate will be Ent. Rate. Just order any book and you do not have to have it before make your ressies. The hotels are in value season we normally go in July and stay at the PBH the standard is about 159.00 Del is 180 w/pool view (yes it's worth it you get a short cut to the boats>LOL) There are three pools at this property and it you join lowes first you get extra amenties newpaper and wecome gift of your choice like wine, milk and cookies my kids love that perk>LOL IMHO the best resturants on site and plenty of them. You will be more likely to get an upgrade here than the other two hotels because of the $$ it tends not to sell out like the others do but if you are a smart planner you can score this hotel for 20 more a night than the hard rock at times! Expedia does offers from time to time buy three get one and such as that. As far as compared to Dinsey well i just don't think you can compare them to Disney. That would be like comparing the comfort inn to a J.W. Marriott or simalar these are true four and five star propeties and you can be casual and wear shorts to supper.LOL They are top notch and you will won't for nothing at these propertys they will cater to your every whim I have 4 kids three that are 2.5 and a 10 and everytime we've pulled up with a grocery cart full of storage containers for a weeks stay they even up them away in the suites kitchen for me.LOL I guess they figure i need the help>LOL I love PBH but you should pick the themed hotel and budget you need. South Pacific? Rocking? or Romance of Itlay recreated above your wildest dreams. LOL
