Which hotel? Anaheim or BW Park Place?

Which hotel should I choose? The Anaheim Hotel Deluxe Room or the Best Western Park Place Inn Mini Suite Room?

The BW is around $500 more than the Anaheim but does include a free breakfast and the short walk to the parks.

We've never been to Disneyland. It would be myself and two daughters -- my youngest has autism. We're Disney World regulars and her favorite thing to do is swim when we aren't in the parks and the Anaheim pool looks awesome.

Our dates are April 27-May 3 of next year.

Thoughts?

I was not a big fan of the Anaheim Hotel. It seemed very dated even with updates and we had numerous issues with the room. The gardens were nice there though. BW Park Place has always been great when we stayed there. Plus it is a closer walk. Free breakfast is not a factor in our hotel choice.

Agreed. ☺️

Have you checked into Hojo? They have a nice pool area. No free breakfast though.

Home 2 Suites has a nice pool and includes a free hot breakfast. It’s on south Manchester. Probably about them same walk as the Anaheim hotel? Plus there are a lot of food options near by. Panera, Mimi’s Cafe and McDonald’s.

Have fun on your trip!

For some reason, the HOJO shows no availability at all for our dates.

I completely forgot to look at the Home2!

Btw I love your YouTube channel! We are big fans! ♥️

I usually stay at the BW Park Place. The rooms are clean and it is so close to the park. Since you are a WDW regular here is a comparison: When I exit the turnstiles at Disneyland and walk to my room at BW Park Place that is about the same time it takes for me to leave the MK and to my resort bus stop and then at WDW I still have to wait for the bus and ride the bus to my resort! (I have timed it in both places.) That proximity at DL spoils me for WDW, lol! I have also had good stays at BW Anaheim Inn and the Candy Cane Inn. The Candy Cane is a little further away about a 10-15 minute walk but it has a shuttle that is quick and prompt. All of them have a decent breakfast, although the Candy Cane was better but it might not be the same after its refurbishment.

It's official!! We have booked through Disneyland at the Home2 Suites!! It was the exact same price as the Best Western. We still get the free breakfast and the full kitchen will be welcome as we will be there for a week.

So excited!!

250 more days! :D
I'm excited to try Home2 Suites. It looks really nice.

Yay!! So excited for you all!

I've never heard of Home2 Suites so I googled. I assume it's the one behind the Fairfield. Will you need to drive to the parks from there or what?

There is also Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn literally 2 doors down from BW Park Place. Prices range too, but it is nice to walk across the pedestrian walkway and be able to take a quick break in the late afternoon to 'freshen up". Also stayed at the Tropicana (3rd floor as it is quieter)

I LOVE the BW Plus Anaheim Inn; I've booked us there 3 times now.

We just stayed at the Anaheim Hotel and LOVED it. I love MCM decor, and the pool is humongous and heated. Loved this hotel and the friendly staff. Will definitely stay there again.

I would also recommend looking at the Desert Inn and Suites. It's super close to the crosswalk, is mostly suites and has a breakfast (typical motel fare). It's not fancy by any means but it is usually reasonably priced and the location is great. For your dates and party size, the prices vary from $165 for a deluxe room to $352 for a family parlor suite. They do not have kitchens. They do give discounts for APs, AAA, etc.

You will probably like the Home2Suites better, but if the walk is a lot for your girls, I'd recommend DI&S or BWPPI. With all of the walking you do every day at DLR, even a moderate hotel walk can seem like miles at the end of the day.
