Which Hilton?

Hello everyone - I'm looking for a place to stay with my family for 2 days prior to us heading over to Port Orleans French Quarters for 8 days at end of August. I really like the rates of the Hilton in Downtown Disney ~$99/night, but see mixed reviews on the quality of rooms (small, worn, tired looking). Is this hotel within walking distance of Downtown Disney, or is it a bit of a hike? Also wondering if the pool is really good for our kids 10 & 7? I'm also interested in the Hilton Grand Vacations on International Drive. Its more expensive, but pool looks great and the rooms appear to be quite spacious. Anyone have an opinion on either Hilton? You are really comparing apples and oranges.

IMHO a $99 rate at the DTD Hilton is very good. It's a very nice hotel (not sure where you are reading the mixed reviews, but I have stayed there several times) It is the CLOSEST hotel to DTD and is a five minute walk. It also gives you EMH.

The other Hilton is a vaction club (timeshare) resort so it's going to be dramatically bigger. Generally they either have a kitchen or kitchenette (not sure what you are looking at)
