Which Hilton to stay at?

We are looking to possible stay at the Hilton Disney Springs - main reason is less than WDW moderate resorts and closest walk to Disney Springs

We do not need a pool
Just comfortable beds, no bed bugs or other critters, and clean rooms.
Does the Hilton across from Disney Springs qualify for the above ?

My GF is a Hilton employee and we stayed at Buena Vista Palace for the first time last week. We enjoyed it. Great pool area. Recently renovated rooms. The King room with a sofa was fairly spacious. Five minute walk to DS. Definitely can’t beat it for $45 a night plus the $10 parking. Waldorf is also $75 a night for Hilton Employees. ;)

Which Hilton is closer to Disney Springs ?
Walking distance, including walking over any foot bridge over the highway,
not the birds eye view. We do not need a view of DS or fireworks.

Which Hilton is closer to Disney Springs ?

The answer to this question depends upon where in each hotel you will be. Using the Measure Distance tool on Google Maps, I measured the distance from the furthest room in each hotel to approximately the same spot at the edge of the Marketplace section of Disney Springs (where the pedestrian overpass ends).
  • Hilton Lake Buena Vista: 1,436 feet (438 meters)
  • Hilton Buena Vista Palace: 1,922 feet (586 meters)

Note: There is a secondary building at the Hilton Buena Vista Palace that is much closer to Disney Springs. You can see the vague outline of it above to the right of the canal and the 1,000.00 ft marking. If you are in that building, you might be closer than if you are at the furthest part of the Hilton Lake Buena Vista.

As someone who has stayed at both hotels, I don't think there's much difference as far as distance is concerned. If you don't have mobility issues, I wouldn't use location as a differentiator between the two properties.

Walking distance, including walking over any foot bridge over the highway,

Just to clarify: The streets around these hotels are not highways. They are divided, landscaped roads with speed limits around 25-30 mph. The pedestrian overpass has only existed for a few years. Prior to that, you crossed the road via a regular crosswalk.

Both hotels use the same shuttle system, although they aren't on the same route. It's scheduled shuttle service every 30 minutes. There are two buses serving each hotel. Each bus goes to two different parks. It's usually one bus going to the Transportation and Ticket Center (transfer to Magic Kingdom) followed by Disney's Animal Kingdom. The other bus goes to Epcot followed by Disney's Hollywood Studios.
