Me, my husband, and daugther (age 4) will be going to Seaworld at the end of this month. I made reservations at Hilton Parc Soleil as we really like the extra space of having a 1 bedroom and it looks really nice and brand new. Now I have seen some good things about the Hilton GV Seaworld and am wondering if we should change our reservation. Has anyone stayed at the two and can compare? We will have our own car so location isn't a huge issue but it may be nice to be able to walk to Seaworld. Which one has the better pool/slide for kids? Thanks.

Hi,

We have stayed at both and actually all 3 of their orlando Locations.

Parc Soliel is new, it opened about a year ago or so. The pool is quite large, and has a water slide and is more remote. The hotel does not have as many activities scheduled throughout the day. Its a very calm relaxing place to stay. The one bedroom units have a large tub with a waterfall foucet, which is kinda fun and neat. Last time we were at this location they were building tower 2 which I believe is finished but they are most likely doing some work for another, its going to be a huge resort when its completed. Noise wasn't a problem but you could see the construction. I just give that as an FYI, I don't think it would cause any major problems.

HGVC @ Sea World is a great resort. Its a bit spread out. They do have lots of activities by the pool, and some are free and some cost. When we were there they did have a large outdoor screen they showed movies at by the pool, they had sundaes, and movies in their theater. This one also has more places to eat at the resort, ie piza hut and a market. both of them have pool bars but I liked the sea world one more. Location is great as it sits across the street from sea world and is about a 10 min walk, it can be hot however in the summer.

You really can't go wrong with either it just depends upon your personal preferences.

Sorry forgot one thing, if you have a facebook account they have lots of photo's of both resorts on their page. its under Hilton Grand Vacations I think.

I stayed at both HGVC Sea World and Parc Soleil last week. I like both resorts. Parc Soleil is new and modern, that being said I find the rooms themselves to be slightly less kid friendly than Sea World. They both have nice covered playgrounds. Sea World has a pool with a neat waterfall feature as well as a splash area while Parc Soleil has a very cool LARGE water slide and lots of sprinklers and a zero entry large shallow section of the pool. The resorts are very close to each other. Tower 2 at Parc Soleil is complete and we didn't have any construction noise. Also, the activity center is in full swing and the activities were nearly identical at both Sea World and Parc Soleil throughout the day. You really can't go wrong with either resort. Parc Soleil is personally my favorite because it is a quieter, more hotel like resort and I love that it has a parking garage.

Any other questions please ask. We have stayed at all 3 Orlando HGVC resorts several times.

I'm glad to see this. we are styaing at the International Drive location in Oct. Anyt ips on that one? we will spend 3 days goign to the parks at Disney. They told us they have a shuttle, but how does it work? Is it set times? Should we jsut rent a car? We have a 5 year old and 2 year old..so there may be times when we just need to get back for nap!

Any other tips on this location?

I would suggest renting a car. From what I found out before the shuttle runs morning and nights but not to much during the day. I was also told about a charge to use the shuttle. I would suggest calling the resort directly about the shuttle service as I used it 3 years ago and rented cars for the last trips we havent stayed on disney property. The phone is 407-465-2600.

There is a gate at the rear of the resort where you can walk to the shopping mall which is right next door. Publix is accross the street. It has a large main pool and another smaller which is more quiet. The buildings accross the lake are newer and there is a bridge connecting both sides. Parking at night can be a problem for some areas.

I second the recommendation to rent a car. I was able to get a Chevy Cobalt using priceline last week for $109 total for the entire week. If I recall the shuttle was something like $6/person or something and didn't run all that often. It seemed like the shuttle was serving multiple HGVC resorts too so not sure how long the trip would take.

The I-Drive location is great for shopping.
