Last week I was stroller obsesed, now that is finished I need to get a highchair. Which one do you all like? thanks for the advice!:goodvibes

I actually never had a highchair, but used a feeding table by Babee Tenda. Loved it! Actually, as it can become a desk/chalkboard desk, my 4YO and
2YO are still using it.

Anything that is easy to recline and clean. I would not get any high chair that has toys on it. It is a pain to clean.

Peg Perego or Martinelli(higher end name of Peg) Prima Pappa. I had one and loved it. It lasted through 2 kids and looked brand new.

Never used an actual highchair either. DS, now 3 and dd, 10 months both used a chair from "The First Years" that simply attatches to our dining room chair.
Straps on and has a tray and reclines too.
Just wanted to save the space that a regular high chair takes up!

Never really used a high chair on any of the 5 kids except for my first - and because it was an older antique kind we really used it only after he was able to feed himself.

I ALWAYS found it easier to feed the babies while sitting down with my knees drawn up and the baby cradled in it. Little one always was so interested in being so close to not as easily distracted by other things happening. It can create lots of little messes so never wear a shirt that you don't want carrots on.

Once they were old enough to feed themselves - they all had the little chairs that can strap onto a high chair. Handy and functional and transportable! Can easily put them in your car/van/suv for travelling to Disney.

This is the same one we have. Love it!!! Easy to keep clean, easy & light to take to Grammy's when we need to and to remove if we don't need it but need the dining chair.

I have the Ikea high chair, and it is FABULOUS! It is all white plastic, and so easy to clean. Plus, it has a tray that stays on while you take the baby out. I hated trying to find a place for the tray that takes up half the counter. For infants, they have a padded thing that you can buy separately, but you could feed your infant in the bouncey seat until he/she can sit unsupported. Or just use towels.

Plus, it is so inexpensive. It was less than $25 for the chair and tray (sold separately).

The main selling point for me is easy to clean, easy to clean, easy to clean. No nooks and crannies for food to accumulate.

Here is the chair...

and padding for infant (I don't have this.)

Enjoy!

We have the fischer price aquarium healthy high chair. The toys were taken off a long time ago. Love the chair b/c it has hte following features: reclines, cushion is covered with vinyl (fabric is a pin in the rear to clean - vinyl wipes right down) and is height adjustable.

We have a Fischer Price Easy Fold. It is about 2 years old or so now, and I'm sure there are newer models. I liked it because you could adjust the height to exactly fit our kitchen table. It is also super easy to clean. It came with 3 separate trays that snap right in and then you pop them in the dishwasher. DS is still in the high chair at 24 mos...he sits in a booster just fine, but he really actually likes this chair and has always sat in it very very nicely.

Good luck!

PS - the aquarium chair that PP mentioned is very similar but comes with a pop in toy that snaps in so real little ones can be entertained. I would have bought this if it was available at the time I bought my chair. You won't use the toy forever as PP mentioned, but during the few months of age that it's appropriate, it would have been very nice. Other than that, the chairs are probably identical...it's a great chair.

I got the kind that attaches to a nomal kitchen table chair - took up a lot less space was more stable. Used it from 10months.
It had a tray for her to use then when big enough I took the tray off and pushed her to the table like a big girl!
I really liked it a lot and nothing taking up extra space!
:yay:

We have the Fisher Price Healthy Back chair and my DS loves it - he sits there through dinner and will even watch tv in it. It is really comfy for him. It also comes with 3 removeable dishwasher safe trays.

I have been extremely stroller obsessed..... I have 4 and want another and my DS is 19 months old.... We have 2 Pack and Plays and 3 Swings and 2 exerscaucers, so I am always trying to find the perfect one, but have never wanted a new high chair, so it must be good:)

We also have the Fisher Price Booster Seat and it is not as comfy by any means but it is great to keep in the car for traveling. DS likes it because he usually fits under the table.

Good Luck and if you ever find the perfect stroller, let me know.

I don't know if it is the perfect stroller but I just got a Macleran quest sport for my DS. I got a 2006 on sale. So far I like it and so does the baby, he is only 41/2 months but he can sit in it and I have been pushing him in the house and he fell asleep 2 times in it. I have the Graco quattro for my BIG stroller with the car seat and I like that alot also. I got the quest for our trip to WDW in Sept, I wanted something light for the airport etc, I am going to rent a quatro from BBF for the parks so that my little guy can lay back and nap. Only problem so far with the quest is that the clips are a little hard to open on the saftey belt, but it is getting easier. If you are thinking of a Mac you should have a look now all the 2006 are on sale and they are for the most part the same as 2007, happy shopping!:goodvibes
