So DH and I are planning our first trip to DL this June and are trying to figure out where to stay. While we'd love to stay at a DL hotel we just can't afford it, so we're considering one of the Good Neighbor hotels. This is what we're looking for:

-Close to DL, but doesn't have to be walking distance. We don't mind using the ART.

-We'd like to stay in a suite, something nicer as this is an extension of our honeymoon

-Free breakfast

Right now the only two I've found that I like are the Embassy Suites South and the Marriott Suites. Anyone have any comments or other suggestions?

TIA!

Howard Johnson receives rave reviews on this site. And there is the entertainment rate too. It does not include breakfast, however there is Millie's Cafe which is I believe right next door. And you can take ART to the park, or walk. Or maybe walk in the morning and then take ART back, or a cab or OCTA.

I hope that you and your husband have a wonderful trip to California and to Disneyland! And most happy anniversary too! Do not forget to ask for your first time visitor buttons and happy anniversary buttons as well. And do make a p.s. for the Blue Bayou Restaurant. You can make those 60 days out.
