We are booked for our January trip in a GF Deluxe Concierge room. According to the confirmation letter, it is Room Code BO. It looks like there are two different configurations for BO. Anyone have an opinion on which one to ask for or even if it is possible to state a preference? Thanks, All!:thanks:

Here's the layout of the two styles. I think it's more individual choice as to which one you'd like better. If you would like to request one in particular, just let the IPO staff know when you touch base with them.

I'm not Tammi but we had Option 2 a couple of years ago and I think our room was 4422. If you are standing in the lounge and looking across the lobby area, it was the first room on the left at the end of the corridor leading away from the lounge. We had a view of the beach, wedding pavilion, theme pool, courtyard pool (to our left) and resort courtyard grounds. The balcony was HUGE! Loved this room!

Thanks for the trip report. Only 43 days left for me!

Thanks, Tammi...I knew I could count on your expertise! I have looked at your site and think it is just an amazing wealth of information. Thank you so much for sharing. :thumbsup2

minniesota: Thank you also! I like the idea of a big balcony and the fact that your room was near the lounge. I think I would probably like either/or but I may mention to IPO that the big balcony would be nice. :cloud9:

Any other opinions, tips or general info? This is our first ever GF stay and we are treating ourselves for our 20th wedding anniversary.

Do I have this right? There are three Deluxe rooms on the 4th floor? I know about 4420 and 4422, but what is the third's room number? Is it right next to the 4420 and 4422? I thought it might be 4419 based on what I remember seeing during a visit. Also, is this third room a triangle or rectangle?

I'm pretty sure 4420 is an option 1 and 4422 is an option 2. I don't think there's any other deluxe rooms on that floor, other than the two honeymoon suites. 4420 would be the first room after the lounge windows. That would put 4419 back at the end of the hallway, just before you enter the lounge (near the childrens sitting area). I'm trying to remember if there is an odd shape room in the corner, but I don't think so. I could only find one picture taken from the courtyard angle and it looks like all the rooms along that side have normal balconies.

Tammi,
Thanks for locating an exterior shot and looking over it for me. Come to think of it, I haven't read of another room number, but I certainly have heard about 4420 and 4422. Can't wait to stay in one of them.

Interesting thread, thanks for starting it. To those of you that are familiar with both room types, which to you prefer? I love extra balcony space, we spend a lot of time out there..but the other room option looks like it has a larger and better layout. Any thoughts?

I'm going to attempt to post my photos of 4422 (first time doing this so bear with me) so you can get an idea of the space and balcony. These were taken in December 2004. The furniture layout is a little different than Tammi's drawing with the table and chairs set up as you come into the main room. As for space, we could have waltzed all night! Hey, wait a minute - I think we did! ;)

You know, we weren't in the room during fireworks though I bet you could see some of the high ones if you went to the end (or far left) of the balcony. If you went around the corner to the right I think you could catch Illuminations off in the distance. We were there in early December so there was a lot going on - MVMCP and Candlelight Processional, etc.

WOW! Awesome pictures...the room looks great. Thanks for posting them. I love the view and that huge balcony.

So the option 2 rooms are 4422 and 3322? And there are only two of these available?

Sorry, I don't have the answers for you. Maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in! I think all the room numbers in RPC start with 4, however, so maybe 4322 is the same layout as 4422.:confused3 Hope someone else will respond - or maybe ask over on the GF thread. Good luck and glad you enjoyed the photos...

I got a peek at 4419 (if that is the one right off the lounge - and I think it is ).....it is option 1 only in reverse. The bathroom is on the left, the beds are on the left, the sofa seating area was on the right wiht the tv up against the right wall and the sofa perpendicular to it - the furniture was arranged more in a seating area all facing in toward the TV armoire. I could have sworn there was a wetbar, too. VERY nice, large & open room. I would love to book it, but we are a family of 5.

Happy planning,

Lives4Disney :)

Thank you for this information. That's just what I was looking for.

Thanks Channing. The only exterior shot of the main building that I could find from the courtyard view, had a tree right in that corner. It was difficult to see if the room had a curved balcony.

As for the room numbers, the main building rooms all start with 4. For the 3rd and 4th floors, the 2nd number coincides with the floor. For the 5th floor, the second number is 0 (I don't know why). The 3rd and 4th floor have the same basic layout, but the 5th floor has dormer rooms and the sloped roof line. It appears through some great detective work here, that we have the following:

Option 1 design: 4319, 4419, 4320, 4420
Option 2 design: 4322, 4422

In terms of where the rooms are located, 20 and 22 are very close to each other. They'd be separated by the turret honeymoon suite. Rooms ending in 19 would be at the end of the hallway, just before you took the right to the elevator bank.

Wow, guys....glad I could help. :thumbsup2 I just happened to be passing that room when mousekeeping was cleaning it after folks had checked out and they said I could look in. It was a great room. :wizard: If we stay RPC I am just not ready to give up the MK view. 4419 is sure convenient, though!

I am most impressed with this detective work (and appreciative). I got an email from GF saying there are 6 deluxe rooms - 3 on each floor. Your room numbers show the same. The email also said that all deluxes are close to the lounge.

My only request is 4th floor. Now I know what room types I should get.

I've always stayed down the hallway toward the MK view rooms. So, as I understand it, 4419 is the first one down that hallway, but the other 2 deluxes are the first ones down the other hallway?
