My Mom and I are driving down to WDW in November. I have plenty of time between now and then to rack up the points at My Points to redeem for gas cards. I'm not sure which ones to get. Maybe a couple different ones? They have Exxon, Shell, Mobil and Citgo. I know I can find all four of those stations in this area, but I don't know about the trip down. Anyone have any suggestions? Are any of those stations more popular than the other ones down south?

Thanks.

Also, what are the rush hour times in D.C.? I don't want to be there for that!

The Shell and the Mobil website both have a "Trip Tracker" option. You type in your route and it shows you the locations of their stations along the way.

I did the same thing as you and through MyPoints got enough gas cards for our whole trip down and back. I got a variety because you never know what gas station will be near when you need to stop.

I do remember, however, that at least one of the gas cards on the MyPoints list did not have stations along our route. I don't remember which one. Is there one called "Arco" or something?

I used my Shell Card last summer and didn't have a problem finding a Shell station. Shell is also welcomed at Texaco stations. Exxon was really easy to find as well.

shelle94,

I use the gas cards from My Points to. I got the Citgo card. Shell would be good to.

Careful with the Exxon card. I got one last year and they made you use exactly $10. It does not debit. If you get $8 worth of gas, they wont take the card. Their computer wouldnt take it. It had to be exactly 10, not one cent over or under.

We used the Exxon/Mobil Card. That way you can use the card at either.

Maggiew, ARCO is a company that resulted from the merger of Richfield Oil and Atlantic Oil many years ago. I'm suprised you don't see them along the East Coast, as Atlantic Oil was an East Coast company. Richfield was a popular brand in California, and you see many ARCO stations there, in fact it was (and may still be) a Disneyland sponsor company (Autopia).
