Which Ft. Wilderness Cabin Loop?

Hi!

If you've stayed at Ft. Wilderness Cabins, maybe you can help me. I want to request a loop, and so far I've been hearing about Loop 2100 for closest proximity to the campfire program, and Loop 2500 for closest proximity to a pool. Which Loop and/or specific cabin(s) would you recommend?

We stayed in the 2500 loop just this past Nov. and really liked it. None of the loops are really close to the campfire unless you dont mind a long walk. If you do decide on the 2500 loop (my choice) send a fax 5 days prior and ask for one of the last two cabins. They are directly across the way from the pool but cant be seen from the laundry facillities. The first cabin backs right up to the laundry room.

This is great advice; thanks! If I say "one of the last two cabins" will they know the difference between that and the first two? Are they the last two by (highest) number?

The cabins are numbered as the go around the loop. Traffic is one way.

The 2500 loop is small, so probably any cabin in it would be fine. You could also ask for close to the laundry, if that is why you would be interested in those particular cabins. If they assign you 2600, across the main road from 2500 but still close to the pool, check to make sure your cabin is close to the main road. 2600 is a very long loop!

the loop starts at 2501 and ends at 2531 or 32 (?)--they know the difference if you ask for one of the last two. Have a great trip--I love the cabins. They were great to come back to mid afternoon to rest and have lunch or hit the pool before going back to the parks. We have very small kids so for us they were perfect and very inexpensive when using the mousesavers codes!

Hi, We stayed in loop 2500 also and found it to be convenient to the pool and laundry room. We also had fun with the golf cart.

Unfortunatley, we can't do the cart because neither of us have drivers licenses. We're from New York City!
