Which Freeway is Better???

Yes DVD player and game boys are the backseats bestfriend!

Traffic on I-15 South on a Sunday can be a nightmare. We are always traveling back in the opposite direction and see what a mess it can become.

If you leave early on Sunday, you should be ahead of most of the traffic. From Vegas to HoJo's it takes us just a smidge over 4 hours. Thats with only a short bathroom break in Barstow. Have a great time!

We are staying overnight in Vegas - so that makes the drive much more manageable. LOL Plus the portable DVD player is my friend! It keeps the kids entertained in the back.

Although, I have never driven from Vegas to Anaheim on a Sunday morning. What can I expect traffic to be like?? Any ideas?

Thanks for the advice and good wishes. We definitely plan on having a great time!! :thumbsup2

Sunday should be pretty lax unless there is an accident which can slow things down. Hitting it midday can actually better than doing it in the morning. During the cooler months it's a little better because less people are heading towards the beaches. Granted there's really just one cool month each year. Summer and February is how we roll.

Just had to add our freeway experience from yesterday. Both the 91 and 60 looked horrible on sigalert.com before we left but we decided we would brave the 91 since it is more familiar to us. On our way over to the 91 we heard a traffic report saying to avoid the 91 if at all possible because it was worse than the usual bad morning comute traffic. So, since I knew the 60 also looked bad we decided to take the 210W (which looked free and clear on the map and with it's new extension is now conveniently close to us in Redlands) and then take the 57 down. This is definitely not the most direct route to DLR but i think we avoided the nightmarish traffic and probably got there sooner than if we would have gone the other ways. It still took us longer than it should have to get to DLR but at least we were moving the whole time! :thumbsup2 I think the bad traffic everywhere was because everyone was going back to work after being off for Thanksgiving.
