Which restaurant is better in your opinion? Chefs de France or Bistro de Paris?

Can you also tell me why you made the selection you did?

If you are looking for great food, wonderful ambience, geared for adults - then go upstairs to the Bistro, if it is eat French and run - then downstairs at Chef de France. Their food is very good but the atmosphere cannot begin to compare with the quieter surroundings upstairs. Actually, check the menus available on several websites (including) Disney and see which has what you like to eat!

I've never been to Bistro, but I was disappointed with Les Chefs.

Then I guess you move to the second criteria: do you have young children? If so, downstairs, if not upstairs.

The Bistro (upstairs) is a more elegant, adult dining experience. The food is a bit more "fussy" and there is no children's menu.

I have to agree with others. If you're going with kids, I'd stick to downstairs. Just adults? Absolutely no contest, go upstairs. I really enjoy Chefs for lunch, but Bistro is an amazing restaurant for a special evening.

It depends on if you like more high end.
DH and I ate in Bistro once, and just wasn't all that thrilled.
The food seemed to be the same (maybe SLIGHTLY) better than Chefs. But at a higher price.
And then to have staff wait on us like vultures, even cutting our meat, was just a little too much for us. One of those times where each time you take a sip of water someone was pouring more water in the glass.
It was like being treated like little kids.
Maybe our experience was not the norm. We just felt uncomfortable and laughed about it for years.

Never had anyone cut my meat - however they are welcome to any time! The food is excellent and never found the service to be 'hovering' just solicitous. We have eaten there at least 2 times every year for the past 10 years and are eating there again in a week. It also does not have the noise you have downstairs. I guess if any restaurant gave me service I found offensive, I would tell them about it - Disney or anyother. We all have our own likes and dislikes, personally I like table service/cloth napkins a LOT better than McD's - but I still go there occasionally when I have kids.

Third criteria - are you on the dining plan? If you are, then stay downstairs, because Bistro does not accept it.

I have been to both. I definitely prefer Bistro for dinner as it is much more relaxed and noisy children are usually missing. Chefs seems to rush you, is more corwded, is on DDP and too often one hears screaming kids.

To me it's like the difference between Outback and Shula's/Ruths Chris. They both serve steaks but the quality, service and price are very different between them.

Thanks. We do not have any kiddos with us so we will be going with Bistro. :)

Excellent choice. Bistro is traditionally our last meal of every vacation and we've never been disappointed with either the food or the service.
