Which FP to get first -- Soarin' or Frozen show?

We'll be there this Sunday, the 25th. We'd love to get one of the first Frozen shows, so I"m guessing we should head there first? Then across to Soarin? Thanks.

Soarin, then book it to Toy Story Mania. Then the rest of the Pier attractions.
Get the Frozen FP around 9am-930am, then the Racers FP before you use the FP for Soarin

Are you going to be there on Sunday (the 26th) or Saturday (the 25th)? It makes a small difference because DCA has EMH on Sunday, but not on Saturday. They do not distribute FPs during EMH, but it does mean that some attractions will already have pretty good length lines at regular park opening. I do think that if you want a FP to the first Frozen show, then I would start at Frozen and then get a Soarin' FP.

There are a few reports in this thread that guests were getting FPs for the second show around 9:00 am, so if you want the first show, it sounds like you need to get the FP within the first 45 minutes of the day or so.

Frozen does distribute by section, so I'd think going there first would give you the best shot at orchestra seats. We sat in the balcony and it was a bit hard to see from that high up, along with the steepness.

We didn't even think about Soarin' until later in the day, and all the FPs were gone. We just got in line and although the sign said 45 minutes, it was closer to 20.

My suggestion would be to have one person join the frozen fp line that will be in Hollywood, but no closer to the front than award wieners, and have another person with your fp in the line for Soarin fp. Grab Soarin, then book it back to the person in line for frozen and get those fp (should easily be first show orch), hop on tower or terror or grab a cup of coffee then grab racers fp at 840 (should be when your Soarin window opens) and hop on to soarin. If you want to watch WOC grab that once you're off. Then it should be close to your Racers fp time.. When we did it on Saturday I think our racers fp return time was 930-1030.

I thought I heard that the Frozen Show fast passes weren't "connected" and therefore didn't dictate the timing for getting/holding another FP?
Or am I getting that confused with WoC? or some other FP?

I'll be there this Sunday too :) we plan to get soarin FP then go to Parsdise Pier for all those rides, on the way back up to Soarin grab a FP for RSR.

Neither Frozen nor WoC are connected. It was their Soarin' FP that dictated their ability to get the Racers FP.

Saturday we were at DCA and we got the frozen fast passes first and then went over and got the soaring passes. The line for frozen fast passes gets very long really quick. I'd suggest you get the frozen passes first.

This is the correct way to do it no matter if it's Early Entry or not. While people are in line for Soarin, Frozen, and RSR FP, only get the Soarin FP then do Toy Story Midway Mania.

The main thing is that you need to arrive at DCA 30-15 minutes before park opening.

It's really a show ticket. Calling it a FastPass is somewhat misleading. It's not a ride where it's continuously operation, but a scheduled performance. Even Soarin' is more or less a ride that's operated as fast as they can do so.

I wonder what the return time will be for Soarin if we get passes at around 8:15am. Any educated guesses out there?

Around 10-11am
The issue there is the Paradise Pier attractions especially TSMM will be longer.

What is the best route to TSSM after grabbing a Soarin FP? Past GRR, Little Mermaid & across the bridge, GRR, Little Mermaid and then through the boardwalk or is it faster to go back through the center of the park past the RSR FP and across the bridge?

Thanks! We probably won't ride TSMM this time (locals), so luckily I don't have to worry about booking it back there. Sounds like Frozen, Soarin', and then RSR as soon as our FP window opens will work. We'll probably try to hop on the new Carsland ride in the interim since we haven't done that one yet.

The Grizzly Peak path toward Mermaid is best route from Soarin

Thought I'd come back and update. We were not there directly for rope drop (security took a little longer, we had to go through metal detectors as well as bag search), so I'm guessing DH and DS made it to the Frozen ticket line around 8:10. It took them 20 minutes, and they got Mezzanine tickets for the first show (11:30). Then they joined us at Soarin. Standby at that time (8:30) was still only 20 minutes so we decided just to ride rather than FP it. Went directly to GRRapids after that, standby was 5 minutes, and we rode it twice. We hopped over to Disneyland, rode Splash, Haunted Mansion, BTMRR, got Dole Whips and headed back to CA for the Frozen show. Got in line about 11.

I can see how the front of the orchestra would be cool, but honestly, I don't have the patience to stand in line for an hour or more, so I doubt we will ever be sitting that close, LOL. A few rows back in mezzanine was a fine view. The show was well done and entertaining -- the actor who played Olaf was amazing! There was one technical difficulty in our show (involving the sled). I'm surprised that a month in they are still having issues. We are all happy to have seen the show but are in agreement that we don't need to see it again anytime soon. A great choice for a hot afternoon, though!

I got in line for Frozen at 8:42 AM today after getting RSR FP's for 11-12 return. About 3 minutes into the line, they announced they were distributing second show FP's. Got Orchestra tickets at 8:48AM for the second show. Walked over to Soarin' to join my party and stood in the standby line (about 20 minutes) although it was posted at 50 minutes. I rarely stand in standby lines, but this seemed quick. I've used FP's for Soarin' before and felt I've stood in line longer.
