Yak N Yeti OR Sanaa...... we had an ok experience at Sanaa last year for dinner, sat in a corner under the stairwell ( restaurant was emtpy!) husband spilled his drink all over his lap and we couldn't get a hold of any waiter to get us some napkins....husbands dish was the wrong order when it came to the table....food that I had tasted pretty good, but now we are wondering if we should give it another try but for lunch this time OR scrap that idea and just have lunch at YnY which is somewhere we have never tried. Am I confused, yup. Help:rotfl2:

can I ask what you had?? What was not good about YNY? Sorry to be picky with questions:lmao:

Yak & Yeti is good but Sanaa is much better. That sounds like an unusually bad experience you had a Sanaa, we've always had good service there - and excellent food. Yak is good "Chinese restaurant" type of food. We've tried the steak and shrimp entree, and the crispy honey chicken. Both decent. At Sanaa we love the bread service, tandoori chicken, chicken curry and beef short ribs - better than good, delicious. The food is probably a bit more exotic for most than Yak but that's not a problem for us. Also for lunch at Sanaa (so in daylight) you should (with some luck) get a good table where you can see all the animals, which is very very cool.

thanks Disnut! That's why we are thinking we should try it again, our situation was weird?!?! We LOVE different/spicy/ ethnic foods...we were staying at AKL last year so did Boma and Sanaa. Our experience was so off, I figured we should try YNY this year, but my husband says we should give it another try. We have seen the animals numerous times so seeing them in Daylight really doesn't matter (stayed at AKL last 2 years) mostly interested in good food. We also noted to the server that we wanted our meals "hotter" than how they usually prepare them, he said no problem and our meals came out "barely medium". So would you say the menu was better at Dinner? Maybe we will do a counter service at AK then head there for dinner. Lunch menu more limited?? Thanks for everyone help, I make sure to help others out with their questions too:rotfl:

We really enjoyed our dinner at Sanaa. Lunch at Yak n Yeti was good, very good in fact, but Sanaa was better. If you do change your ADR to dinner at Sanaa and opt for counter service at lunch, I would not eat at the Yak n Yeti counter service restaurant. It was not nearly as good as the food inside (in my opinion). The CS at Yak n Yeti is probably the most disappointing CS food I have had at WDW. It wasn't bad, it was just disappointing.

I have heard great things about Flame Tree BBQ.

thanks everyone! We are going to cancel YNY and make a dinner ADR for Sanaa. We will try it again:goodvibes We will either do Flame Tree for lunch or something else quick but NOT YNY CS. We walked by that area last year and kinda peeked at the food coming out on the trays, and I agree it looked yucky. I had heard that the TS was better. Thanks for everyone's thoughts. :lovestruc
