Which floor at AKL

Help!

I am faxing my room preferences tomorrow for our upcoming trip to AKL

I am requesting Zebra Trail w/view of Arusha Rock, but which floor should I request?

Also...what time do you usually fax your request?

I requested a lower floor and got 3rd floor ,which we loved,same level as the lobby.I faxed my request at 8:30am Florida time.

According to the fax request instructions on Deb Wills' site, you should fax 4 days prior to arrival. We faxed our request on Tuesday for Saturday arrival. I think your choice of zebra trail, Arusha savanna is excellent. We requested and received 2nd floor-very close to the animals, close to the pool and Mara food court.

When we stayed there the CM at check in suggested the 2nd floor for getting the best view of the animals. He was right. The upper floors are too high up, you don't see them as closely

We stayed on the second floor and had a wonderful view of the animals.

I think the higher floors give you a more expansive view.

In either case, be sure to explore the lodge and take advantage of the many other viewing locations.

WE were just there over T-day, and had 3rd floor...sunset savannah. Not the savannah I would have requested, but we were splitting a trip...I went with 3 kids on Sunday & then my DH joined us with the older 3 on Wedn...we were more concerned about NOT having to move me & the kids when he checked in!

The 3dr floor was great, & we saw all the animals we needed to. There are plenty of viewing areas even if you don't have a savannah view!
