Hi folks;
Would love to get your opinion on which fireworks show you think is the best. We will only have one evening at Disney World and want to make the most of it. We were thinking about seeing Fantasmic but not sure if this is THE best show of all.
Any advice??

For me it is a tossup between Fantasmic and Ilumations i love them both but if i had to choose 1 it would probably be Fantasmic if you would like to see show with fireworks or Ilumations if you are looking for a lot of fireworks with a show

I love Fantasmic too! Although there is just something about Wishes, the fireworks at MK. I love to see the fireworks over the castle. Both trips I've seen Fantasmic my first night and Wishes my last, but I've yet to see Illuminations.

Sorry but i love Illuminations...Plus, the park (Epcot) is usually open later than MGM so you get a full night at the park and a great show.

We see Illuminations at least 3 times per trip.:thumbsup2

Being different :upsidedow - I have to choose Wishes!! Spectro first then Wishes is my fav way to spend a night at DW

Fantasmic would come in 2nd

Is Fantasmic really considered a Fireworks show? I would not consider it a fireworks show...a great nighttime show for sure but not a fireworks show per say.

Opinions please?:confused3

Original Poster, you could look up each one on You Tube and see for yourself. They are so different, so unique, ...

I would choose Wishes at Magic Kingdom, especially if you have children in your group. You may also be able to get on more rides during that evening if you are at Magic Kingdom (and more varieties of rides for people with different interests).

Fantasmic may be too scary for younger children. Illuminations is good, but it just isn't as "Disney" as Wishes (in my humble opinion). :)

I don't really consider Fantasmic a "fireworks show" It does have fireworks and it's a GREAT show to see. But for the best fireworks show I personally would have to say Epcot hands down!

Everytime i see it i get goose bumps

DING! Good answer.
I don't consider a Fantasmic a 'foreworks show" either. Although it is the best evening entertainment in my opinion. If the OP only has one night I would take in the show at MK.

I totally agree. I have seen it half a dozen times and it never gets old. Traditionl Disney style... GRAND! This is probably the best fireworks show I have seen, hands down! There is just something about it that MOVES you... brings back lots of childhood feelings too with the music.

However, I also loved Illuminations. It has a deeper message within, and would be my/our second choice.

I don't believe that Fantasmic is a "fireworks" show, it is awesome, but not a fireworks show.

I would have to say, Wishes, only because it signifies everything Disney, shown over the castle with a great storyline and music. I cry everytime I see it! If you were only going to see one fireworks show, Wishes would be it.

My personal favourite, and also my DH's favourite is Illuminations! It is an amazing show that I could watch a few times during our trip!

Great, now after thinking about all of this all I can do is hear the "Wishes" soundtrack in my head! Guess I will be humming it all day! :goodvibes

WOW!! Thanks everyone. Can always count on you all for great advice :)
I previewed Fantasmic on YouTube and it does look great! However, now i'm feeling all nostalgic about MK and thinking that I might want to take in those fireworks. Problem is, I also want to do Osborne Light Show but I don't know how i'm going to do both??? I only have one night... HELP!! Anyone out there have any tips?

Extend your Vacation...;)

Sorry but it's really hard to choose. The Osbourne lights are gorgeous if you are REALLY into Christmas.

Maybe if you give us your dates, it might help...:confused3
