Which Fastpass first?

We're going off and on to DLR for 7 days in 3 weeks and I am really unprepared.:cool2: We plan on going to WOC at least 2-3 times (not paying for the package) during our stay. With that being said spaced out over 7 days what fastpasses would you obtain first?

I always tend to get FP's for Space Mountain first as the return times get very lengthy and the FP's run out quickly. Next would be Indiana Jones for the same reason and then Splash. When in California Adventure get FP's early for Soar'n.

FP's for Scream'n, Grizzly and Tower are a good idea but can be obtained thoughout the day with reasonable return times unless its an extremely crowded day. In that case get to the parks at rope drop and collect but do not use FP's as many as you can for use later in the day.

WOC FP's can be held at same time as an FP for another attraction.

Well we usualy do Space first...but this trip is all about Star Tours since it was closed last trip and I have never rode it(may hate it after first ride since I have motion sickness but gonna try). It is Dh's fav ride. I am sure all the fp's will be gone quickly so we will be getting one ASAP.

For DCA, Screemin, it get the longest lines of thier FP attractions.

For DL, it's either Indy or Space, space runs out sometimes, but both have long stand by lines. However with Star Tours, I'm guessing that more people will be attracted to Tomorrowland see the big line and head towards other attractions. Causing more FP pressure on Space Mountain. But while Star Tours is new it should be your priority since it may be prone to super crazy lines.

Wow, WOC 2-3 times...

Saw it for the first time last summer, wasn't totally wowed and we're not even trying to plan it into this trip. If we happen to get a FP we'll go, but it was frustrating to have to wait as long as you have to wait, it makes me antsy about what I'm missing while I'm just sitting there.

That's why I love Fantasmic so much I think, you just have to be in the right place at the right time to watch the second show with a minimum of wait.

Let me clarify we'll probably only get a fastpass for WOC once. Other times we'll probably just walk up.

Hopefully now you have more knowlege and won't make mistakes twice, and can have a better experience.

To view WoC from Paradise Park(the viewing area) you will need a WoC show pass each time. So you probably just won't be walking up unless you mean to the backside where the show is much worse.

Have you read the WoC superthread? I'd suggect reading the first couple posts and then skip to the last few pages to get recent information and not confused by people who saw it right away before the where, and how was clear.

The third link is what you are probably looking for, but all the links are MUST reads for those interested in FPs.

Not sure if he's updated it for Star Tours yet (or how Star Tours changes things).....but he will.

:)

Our first full day in the park, we will get FPs for Star Tours first thing at 8am. It used to be Space or Indy. We probably get several during the day since I think they will go fast.

Us too! :)

Just back from the parks and wanted to update that on Monday, May 30th, Star Tours was soft open to all guests with FP machines turned on. DH and I got FPs at 8:01am and continued to get FPs as soon as available. All FPs were gone for this ride by 1pm. This was with SoCal Select APs blocked.

Awesome ride, totally on another level from the original. We ended up riding it 5 times that day (3 FP and 2 standby). Would have kept riding, too, but we ran out of park time!

Space had FPs that day until almost 8pm, which I thought was pretty unusual. I was glad that we rode Star Tours that day because the 31st was AP previews so no way we could ride (since not AP holders).

Therefore, I am going to say that Star Tours will be the FP to get early. If you don't care about multiple ST rides then:
1. ST
2. SM
3. Splash (in the summer)
4. Indy
5. BTMRR

It was kinda ridiculous how deserted Indy was that day. In the evening, Indy was 25 minute stand by with FPs available well past 8pm, which was good because we had used all our valuable FP morning collection time to get ST FPs! :rotfl:

Wow, that's interesting. This is exactly the sort of info I will be watching for as our time gets closer. To see how ST and Mermaid affect the rest of the parks and what time turns out to best to get on Ariel's.
