Which Fantasmic Dinner Package to book?

We've been to Mama Melrose's several times and always loved it. Tried HV last time - the food wasn't bad. However, DH & I came to the conclusion that if we are going to pay for a nice meal at WDW prices, we want it to be relaxing. Buffets are not necessarily relaxing with kids! Lots of hopping up and down, MORE waiting in line, etc.

For $30-40 bucks a pop I want to be pampered (OK, not really pampered, but I want someone else to bring my food!) We are going to try BD on our next trip. If it isn't worth the extra $$ we'll be back at Mama's after that!

I booked the Fantasmic pkg yesterday on the dining plan. We're doing H&V again because there was nothing on the BD menu for my DS(10 yrs old). Take a look at the menus - that should help with your decision.

Now that ADR's have been moved to 180 days out, can I reserve the Fantasmic pkg at 180 days out, too? All info I see says 90, but don't know if it's just out of date.

We love the Brown Derby and would go with that....it has great ambience and the food is consistently good....

Good luck with your decision.......I have not eaten at Mama Melrose so I cannot vote on that and I was not impressed with Hollywood and Vine in the past... not a great fan of cafeteria style..

This is all very confusing - yesterday I was all set to book HBD, the menu looks fabulous but DS10 would probably turn his nose up and DS5 would probably only eat the bread roll !!!!!!! Whilst it would be temping just to leave them at home, I think Im probably going to opt for H&V to keep my fussy kids happy. Need to do an ADR soon - anybody got any ideas which day I should go - will be in Orlando from 19 May - 2 June.

that used to be the case - but as of Sept 1st (I think) it is included on the dining plan. I think the menu restrictions are still applicable, instead of being able to order off the full menu, but you can use dining plan TS credits.

I was thinking about booking a Fantasmic DP at Mama Melrose for our next trip. Does anyone know what is included, or not included, on the limited menu?
